Just looked at the link. Still says 'right-handed only' as per original post, unless I am missing something obvious?

Be aware that the whole golf club industry is notorious for setting unrealistically-high RRPs, which bear no resemblance to actual selling prices.

I have NEVER bought a club at "full price".

Whether these clubs have ever sold at £349 is EXTREMELY questionable.

My suspicion is that these are shyte clubs, masquerading as a hot deal.

(No offence meant to the poster, though!)

I am in China at the moment and you can get a full set of Callaway Fusion clubs (graphite shafts) with gloves, shoes, 3 bags and the works for £120! They are flawless copies of the originals, and according to the many ex-pat golfers out here, are excellent clubs just as good as the real thing!
I believe the real McCoy would cost around 10 times that price?

I'd bring some back, when I come home in 2 weeks, but I'm too lazy.

Firstly I would stay well clear of these golf clubs. As Confiteor says you get hundreds of no name brands in the golf industry that sell golf clubs for a certain price and say they have an rrp of 3 or 4 times the sale price. It's absolute rubbish and shouldn't be believed for one second. Do not touch these clubs with a barge pole if you want a set worth £350. One the other hand if you want a cheap set of golf clubs then these represent very good value for money.

Personally you can't beat ebay for deals. Check out irons by Cleveland. They are always reviewed much better than the other big name clubs but they sell for less on ebay because everyone just wants Callaways, Taylor Made, and Ping.

As for the Chinese fakes. Well, I'm not sure what you mean by flawless fakes. Do they use the same materials? I have a set of Callaway Big Bertha Fusions that you've seen fakes of. The shafts are superb and are the only stock steel shafts in the world that weigh less than 100g. The face of the club is made from titanium which is 35% lighter than steel which means that the weight can be moved to the perimeter. These kind of things can't be faked easily so I would imagine that although they look the same they will play like the £99 of golf clubs that are advertised above.

Beware of cheap imitations and fakes in the golf world. While many things are overpriced you are still paying a lot of money for metal that has been made in a particular way. Especially the shafts.

Incidentally, I got my Fusions of ebay for £335 so there are means and ways of obtaining clubs cheap. You just have to make sure they are not fakes.
