  Works brilliantly as a Squeezebox server but the standard DNLA media server is awful. Luckily there is a Beta version of the firmware available on the German Zyxel forum that replaces the media server with Twonky, and except for a couple of small bugs to do with Jpeg resizing it transforms the compatibility of the media server and the speed of media scans.

  Is there a link for the BETA firmware.
  
  I bought tis a couple of weeks ago to work with my Sony TV. Guess what.....Sony TV won't see any of the movies being hosted by the standard media server.
  
  I think Twonky could be the answer.

  Its 4.50 beta. Current release is 4.40
  
  Personally I will wait for release version and see what problems arise before I upgrade. Would be nice to have a better media server installed.

  Sort of a deal, but it was 119.98 a few days ago at Dabs - which has unfortunately expired.
  
  I'm seriously thinking about buying one of these. Yes I've read about lots of problems, but at least it seems to be in active development and getting much needed firmware updates. There is an English forum too, although it doesn't seem as well informed as the German forum which has firmware and planned features for version 4.6.

  I found this new Firmware dated 18th July. It was on the US site. I used it and unfortunately my Media Server wouldn't scan for media.
  
  I rolled back to the UK site firmware (4.40) and everything is back to normal. It's a shame..... Twonky is included with that firmware.
  
  
  Give it a whirl if you want, but you'll probably end up just rolling back.

  By the way, you have to uninstall and reinstall any packages you enabled in the Admin Console such as PolKast or DynDNS.
