Okay... that's not quite what you meant but it's a good start. ;)
Well, this is not exactly what I meant :) I though about something like this:
but product-type orientated.

HELL ABC1300 - Cel1.3G/256KB/20GB/14.1/DVD_ROM - 312.99 - Click_here
Kompakt 75757 - P4 3.0G/512KB/80GB/17.0/DVD-RW - 724.67 - Click_here

and so on
I understand what you mean. Maybe the layout coulld be more like the Amazon section though? A picture and list of details??

I think it might be a good idea, but to be honest it'd be hard to keep it up-to-date.
I think this fits in well with some of the ideas that are happening in the State of the Board thread. I think the problem is making deals accessible to people and most people are loath to use Search because there is a lot of filtering that you have to do. So yes and yes and it's coming is the answer I think :D

Yes I know that this will require a lot of efforts from mods team. That's why they are mods ;) And that's also why I am not :D

Good :) When do you plan to make it happen?

I'm dreading having to remove the mobile deals when they go out of date... it tends to just be a couple of days for each one at the moment.
If something like this goes ahead, any chances of it in a comparison table/chart, makes it a lot easier to compare.

Especially when trying to find the best product with the best battery (for mp3, phones etc...)

I'm dreading having to remove the mobile deals when they go out of date... it tends to just be a couple of days for each one at the moment.

on this note, do you think it would be good for a totally seperate mobile phone (and free sims !!!!) sub section. Also they have nearly all been from osps or e2save lately...they seem to both be on simultaneous madness binges which i have a bad feeling is going to result in a hell of a lot of hassle over the 12 months period...but anyway, if people are coming here instead of going to osps or e2save first do you not think they are being a tad bit lazy?? :? the phones....especially the sims....are blocking up the actual forum at times and its hard to actually find the deals that are of good value. sub sectioning like this would also make searching more feasible.
slippery slope...

The first subforum is for phones. then gadgets. then holidays. then computers. then laptops. then...

Then you end up like MSE. It's not bad per se, it's just different. I think Admin is taking things in a different direction.
I agree with that andi, MSE has been cluttered for a long time. Fragmented sub-forums and an even worse search problems.

RPoints only recently [over the last year] started putting all their deals in one new forum as well as the old sub forums, I think that says a lot for the format here...
The idea was NOT to create separate forums per deal type but rather to have separate webpage where all current deals will be listed in easy to compare form
I knew that :) Sorry I meant my reply to ryoooh's suggestion for sub sections..
