http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/images/editor/spelling.gif

at the message box at the bottom, third icon in on the right!
#4
I don't see that, Gary. I think it depends on whether you have a spell-checker installed on your computer or not.
#5
It shows for me on advanced reply and tells you to download ieSpell.

Ok... the guide....

Click here... http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions

At the very bottom under Message Editor Interface select... Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing and then "Save Changes".

In the "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of the posts click the http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/images/editor/spelling.gif and an ActiveX popup in yellow will appear (in internet explorer), click on it, then click install.

Then from now on when you click that button it will spell check your text for you!

Ah, OK. I don't use the advanced editor, it makes far too much unnecessary BB Code.
#8
What you mean it makes too much BB code?
#9
Just deal with it really, people don't come on here to be criticized over their spelling nor do they come on here to show off their intellectual skills. it's a freaking forum for deals! not a spelling bee!

Go into your control panel and select "edit options" and chose (at the bottom of the page) to use a WYSIWYG text editor.

You wont see any further BB Code.

Gary said you see the spellcheck when using the WYSIWYG editor. I don't mind typing out the BB Code, and have two problems with the WYSIWYG editor:

1) When you paste text in it keeps formatting, which is difficult if you're copying coloured/bold text from other sites and want it to fit in.
2) If you go back to the normal editor at any point it's hard to read the code. The editor adds in loads of code which I wouldn't bother with if typing it out.

Petty, maybe, but that editor really does bug me!

Ducky, I think that's only for mods, that paste thing. Plus, there's a button that strips the formatting - http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/images/editor/removeformat.gif. Don't know if you knew that.

Don't understand why a spellchecker is required in the first place.
Don't people proofread their posts before submitting?

Just more encouragement of laziness

Personally I'd rather make typographical errors than have a machine think for me.
No wonder brain degenerative disease is on the increase.
