Hi Juliet,

just to check: how does this work in practice?

for example the deal below was posted last night as 'Amazon' when it's actually from a third party seller (clearly marked in the title so thanks to the OP for that):

The Amazon Deals will normally automatically be allocated to Amazon based on the deal link submitted by the deal poster and then MOD moved to Amazon Marketplace if applicable. If you do spot any that need moving could you please report them for MOD action and I've also just manually moved the above deal and some others posted during the last week to the new merchant, so thanks for highlighting :)

there are some third party sellers that have their orders fulfilled by amazon, which ime has been the exact same as ordering from amazon themselves.

We are currently leaving any 'fulfilled by' items against the main Amazon retailer as Amazon themselves still deal with the delivery and customer service for these items and they are eligible for Amazon's free super saver delivery :

Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) is a service Amazon offers sellers that lets them store their products in Amazon's warehouses, and Amazon directly does the picking, packing, shipping and customer service on these items. Something Amazon hopes you'll especially enjoy: FBA items are eligible for FREE Super Saver Delivery and for Amazon Prime just as if they were Amazon items.

Thanks, I also order a lot of stuff from Amazon for delivery to Spain & the UK, and it was annoying to find items advertised as Amazon but then to find it was a poor performing Marketplace Seller.
After having several problems with sellers and yet never one with Amazon themselves, it now appears much better & easier to find Amazon deals.
