http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/653239/fs-80gbipod-classic-fully-boxed-wit

in addition other bugs still outstanding:

Avi does not update to FO.LK
PM's do not update
Removed Feedback still shows on FO.LK
Report button does not work
you cannot close/expire/spam a thread via FO.LK you sill have to go onto HUKD
No link to rules when submitting a thread

+ many many more
banned#5
Seems to be fixed, can't do it myself

edit : maybe not
[admin]#6
Not sure about the avatar boothy but a few other things there are fixed already. PM"s sync, report button works like expire/spam, you can expire/spam using report and "close" closes your thread.

When you close your own thread on fo.lk, it doesn't state anywhere when the listing was closed. How can the one-week re-listing rule be followed without a date stating when the item was closed? Perhaps I've missed something.

You've not missed anything at all. We're in the process of reviewing the FS/FT rules and devolving more control to the members. In a nutshell, after 7 days of inactivity a member may self close their listing on fo.lk and relist immediately.

The current rules will be amended to reflect this change which is now in force.

so do members here now only have to expire a thread rather than have it locked before relisting, its all going to get very confusing
[admin]#10
If they want to manage their listing themselves they can go on folk and do so. It's not confusing compared to expiring, then pm'ing a mod with a request, then waiting for a response. I don't think any new'ish member is going to grasp that.

but their listings still show here :? you cant have different rules for both sites when they actually show on both sites no matter where you list:?

are you sure you know how the closing of a thread works on here

I don't think the way the listings are on this site matter that much, as the FS section is going to be scrapped soon I assume. Fo.lk is the future, and as long as that site works well, that's all that matters.

well no doubt matters to those suspended for not followng the rules, the rules of this site clearly state you have to lock a thread and wait 7 days before relisting and if the site is working so well why do we still have the fs board?

So do the fo.lk rules:

All threads should be closed, it's your responsibility to manage your threads yourself. If you did not manage to sell your item or if your thread is lying dormant, you must request for it to be closed at least seven days before it's relisted. Any items from closed threads cannot be offered in other threads for at least seven days.

And I believe the site is not perfected just yet, hence the existence of the FS board. But I have to admit fo.lk works a lot better now than it used to.

expiring a thread on folk doesnt lock it on here, neither does it there

Yes it has changed, I tried it yesterday.

And then couple that with ASB's point....

If you close the thread yourself on folk it does indeed lock it on hukd.

Hopefully this eliminates on of the major grievances aired by some members i.e. no more mod bumps if members close via fo.lk and at the same time further reducing the rules which may be daunting to some, especially new members.

It's all work in progress, we'll continue to strive towards a fast flowing, easy understanding platform for members to trade their unwanted items.

In addition (rules to be updated later), but in effect now, is the relaxation on certain bundled items.

The typical example is the xbox/ps3/other gift often offered when purchasing a new mobile contract. As long as we still have an rrp to measure against, the item will be permitted for listing (subject to the remainder of the rules being adhered to).
We still reserve the right to close any listings which we deem to be exploiting this relaxation.

We hope this is another step towards a better trading experience for all members.

Correction

When i closed my thread on fo.lk ( 2 weeks ago ) it did not lock it on hukd side,

I had to get a moderator to lock it. a few days ago

ASB an update in the official rules thread on FS/FT might be an idea.

This has been corrected recently, the fix would not have been retrospective. Please continue to use fo.lk for this now and you'll get immediate action on your request (although it may take up to a minute or so to replicate through to the hukd listing).

This is on the way. Rather than await a full update to the rules and halting threads in progress. I decided to comment in the appropriate thread and here. We'll ensure the rules reflect the recent changes.

I trust these changes will be well received.

yep might be worth putting a reminder about this when people are still getting their threads locked via hotukdeals.

Oh and good to see the bundle/mobile rule being relaxed as well:)

Thanks ants97. The FS/FT rules have been updated to reflect the above comments. A summary of the changes mentioned can be viewed here.

Hopefully we have less frustrated sellers and more happy buyers all round.

Yes, if you have any points that need discussed or relate to the recent changes, it might be worth posting in that same thread, although I've hijacked this thread to an extent.

How about the possible compulsory pics rule....

Is it going to be a go?

It's certainly a consideration and fo.lk does make it a lot easier for members to upload. We wouldn't want to inconvenience members who are happy to trade between each other based on trust and previous. However we do have to balance that against the many 'picture' requests which unfairly promote a thread (perhaps even by intent).
