That sort of abuse of the feedback system indicates a 'false' trader who is willing to decieve (feedback, and interest), so at a minumn should be banned from the FS/FT if not from the whole forum, not welcome in my eyes.

Not much of a deterrent to others.

I see that the original id has been left but both multi's being banned. As in the thread highlighted above, it appears that family members (impression given) left the feedback. All linked accounts have been removed and the original suspended for a further relist breach.

Members aren't always in control of others who bump/promote/manipulate feedback. It appears action taken has been to remove false feedback left for the original id. Unfortunately I cannot see if the original left feedback for the multi id's. Had this been the case then I would have recommended a full site ban.

So we have actioned on the basis of facts known to us. Linked accounts have been removed and the original infracted for breaches of the trading rules. Should there be any further suspicious activity, then we will review our original decision.

I hope this helps to explain.

i dont really use fs/ft much anymore but i was wondering if there is a bad traders list or a list that flags up traders like the one mentioned above, as i would not like to deal with someone who had already acted suspiciously, as there are so many members and threads in fs/ft its hard to try and remember who has been up to no good

If this is possible, mod ran of course, don't want accusations being thrown about willy nilly in the thread.

I've seen the list, including banking details, addresses, telephone numbers.

How many scammers give out the correct details, not the clever ones I imagine. So to publish a name and address, telephone number, personal details without the permission or verification of accuracy, is not a line we would want to take.

Feedback should be a good reflection of previous trading history, but that's only one factor to take into account. I know that I would review feedback and previous threads, as well as following the trading rules in full.

I don't mean in the normal sense ASB, a thread layout would suffice as it would be easy for other users to spot, though this might act as more of a target rather then a useful tool.

No addresses or personal information would be needed, though you could put region and name without incriminating the website.

I don't have a problem linking multiple accounts, even if the latter is closed (or about to be) by naming and shaming, where the evidence is clear on the thread.

Put that to the powers that be ASB, and link to the thread in quesiton would be a great addition. Obviously this would have to be a locked thread where mod's could update when evidence was clear cut.

Like this one for example. I've tagged it for easy reference, so may see if there's a possibility for future use.

Good so far, but would definitely be nice to have a central thread with tiny url's so its nice and tidy. Labelling there crimes to the forum and region etc..
banned#22
It's tagged for now, however if the original ID fails to respond within 48 hrs, then it's almost redundant as the account will also be banned.

I'm not sure what we'll do with the info, but as it's tagged, then it's easily identified for potential future use.
