tbh, I cant see the problem too much. If someone aint going and fancys doing a good deed for the day, then there's no harm surely?
#2
agree with you on this, i as an orange customer dont want to subsidise other peoples social life
#3
you could say the same for all the voucher codes that people list on here as they may end up not getting them :whistling:
that's the whole point of this site to share deals ;-)

Maybe just keep it in one ongoing post but apart from that there is no reason why people shouldn't share
#6
people dont HAVE to give another person a code if they dont want to. Its about freedom of choice. As 'cheerleader' said. The whole point of this site is to share deals etc.

i dont understand why people dont get a free orange sim card, top up with £10 and use it for free cinema tickets keep the sim card in an old charged up phone in you glove box as an emergancy

Fair point cheerleader but most if not all would be transferable.

I guess one could turn around and say why did HotUK Deals end up prohibiting people asking for other posters' 2.50 vouchers on the forum - if its all about sharing, then whats the issue? (rhetoric)

I dont have a problem with sharing provided its done legally.

People just need to get an Orange SIM and load £5 on it - voila. No need for useless posts begging for codes every Tuesday / Wednesday

Here you go Holly http://www.orange.co.uk/film/orange_wednesdays.htm. If you click on the link below Mobile customers it should tell you how the promotion works

Yeah, its a good time to take advantage of the carphone warehouse offer through quidco, £10 gets you an orange sim card with £10 credit, a bluetooth headset and £3 quidco cashback :)

i think they stopped people asking for the £2.5 amazon vouchers as there were too many threads. they didn't stop people from offering the voucher codes to other members though :) & tbh i don't think a lot of the voucher codes are supposed to be transferrable

"tbh i don't think a lot of the voucher codes are supposed to be transferrable"

ah thanks - thats exactly what I wanted you to highlight. Item 3 in the fine print says just that - non transferable just like the item in the Orange T&Cs

Best advice here, exactly what I've done - ten pounds of credit is a lot of tickets and with prices around the seven pound mark the initial purchase almost immediately pays for itself.

It would be interesting to know how all this works out financially for the cinemas and Orange, on initial inspection it would seem it's a lot of money lost however it always amused that when I went past one of the main cinemas in Edinburgh you could tell it was either Wednesday, Friday or Saturday by how busy the cinema was...most of the rest of the time it was very quiet.

I think its a place where we can share what we are not using.

Ethically most of us should not be returning the Tesco SIM cards, that are supposed to give Free delivery only for them. What do you say???

PS: I hope I am not inviting a lot of people to attack me here.

Btw,. I just had an opinion & I didnt need it, so I shared it for freeeeeeeeeeeeee :giggle: :p :-D

Very true, it always surprises me how much people buy as well..I sometimes wonder if people are going to watch a two hour film as I am or if they're planning on camping out in the cinema.

Im guessing the bulk of it is sponsored by Orange with the cinemas themselves only subsidising a small % (25-33) if that. Orange spinmeisters version - promotion brings in more customers = more consumption = higher margins for the cinemas. As a result, cinemas should subsidise 1/4 - 1/3 of the ticket cost. Whether it actually works like that is another story
#25
That's a good point, even assuming the cinema absorbs all costs (which it won't) then I'm sure they'd rather have two people in at £6 than none
#26
assuming wednesday was a quiet day for most cinemas its probably a case if better one full paif ticket than none, same i guess for the theme park bogof, kina proves that the 'real' cost is no where near what we pay lol
