i thought that yet again as the bitterwallet thing has been rejigged on the homepage i would take a look. I don't know if you remember admin but i stopped looking before because of the swearing.

We only to my surprise again today, i skipped over all the rubbish and found a deal related post about last minute. reading through it and again more swearing... is it really needed.

that will be the last time i bother to look... a warning needs to be put on before you visit that site from a family orientated hukd website!

Agree with everyone here... it's annoyingly placed.

The site is rubbish, just a real copy and paste job.

If it does have swearing, (can't be bothered looking, but will take gary-rip's word for it), then surely there should be a warning as HUKD bang on so much about this being a family site, blah blah blah.

The link at the top before was fine, obviously you may think by making it bigger it will attract more people... but unfortunately it just annoys us (well the ppl that have posted here and here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/287809/showthread.php?p=3629470&posted=1#post3629470), as they feel it is being thrusted down their throats.

No thanks, don't want to use the site. & will not be clicking on it from now on. What a joke that all 5 articles are no more than copy paste jobs though. By writing in or to Bitterwallet I will be supporting them... so by not writing to them or posting on there... well you get the idea.

I think I may have given em a chance had one of the stories in the bitter wallet hukd feed box been an original story. As I can just got to the stories at their respective sites... or just go on google.

I fail to see the relevance.
Writing for bitterwallet was open to those interviewed and appointed.There have been times when the quote has been relevant. Those times may have fitted with the ideas of R. Nixon but I think you do an enormous dis-service to many when you quote it in this context. Some may indeed consider it to be a plain insult.

All I actually wanted was the hot deals back, but then there was an extremely provocative response of an historic address through the prism of Richard Nixon, for goodness sake.
Criticism, I have dealt with, ad infinitum, on this site - constructive always, as I view it.
I do not confuse criticism with denigation.

The Hot Deals box shows the hot deals for the area you are currently browsing. The way it works hasn't changed.

Ah, I had a feeling that this was the problem. That's how it's always been. It shows the hottest deals for the current section you're looking at. Since the Misc and Feedback sections (amongst others) have no deals (or topics that can be "voted upon") then nothing shows and you receive that error message.

It only displays results in Deals, Vouchers, Freebies, Competitions and the All tabs. If you wander over to one of those sections then you'll see your hottest deals again.

so we can't swear or write comments on HERE like that, but we can go on there and do it, doesn't make sense to me:thumbsup: move it to the bottom of the page, in fact, wouldn't it be more useful to swap it around, so the HUKD rules, faq etc have more of a prominent display. May help a lot of peeps on here if they were in some eyecatching colour

With regards the content and slightly more relaxed/adult nature of some posts & comments, I made this thread a while ago in feedback and Pauls response basically suggested more 'mature' direct links are perfectly acceptable, albeit a warning should be given; personally I'm more than happy with this although its a fair comment that no warning is given for the bitterwallet links (not really sure how such a warning could be given though...). Whilst this site is 'family friendly' that doesn't mean its orientated at children at all; the comments left on bw are not different to the style of comments you will find all over the web on similar 'blog' style sites...
