Bizarre moderating

I bumped 3 times and then asked the mods to expire it.
They never, and then someone asked a question about it and was interested in buying it.
Should I have said "oh no no, I asked the mods to expire it and have exceeded my 3 bumps, so I can't talk to you"?
It's fast becoming a joke in here - you let all kinds of abuse go unchecked, but you're red hot on the bump count - as though that's the key thing in running this site.

Jump to unreadLockedI'm sorry you feel the decision by the forum helper to lock your thread was over-zealous.
To have a fs thread locked, you need to click the report function. We don't monitor every thread and simply commenting "expire" in a thread does not lock it.
You also offered downloaded content in the thread as part of a "deal breaker".. you cannot sell loaded content for future ref and whether or not you bumped your thread, it would've been locked for offering something which breaches our forum rules

Nope, it's got a few films on it and that's it.

As for the content i dont see why someone couldnt just say you cant sell that, and the op would have understood and kept listing open. Whats the point in closing a listing because of it
Of the so called 7 bumps, one was an instant addition to a reply - so if it's a bump I gained all of a minute.
One was a reply about something I'd sold. Another was pointing out that they hadn't given me their address so I could post the thing I'd sold.
If you want to see all posts as bumps then that's your business, but a bump is a poster trying to put their post back at the top of the pile - and that's not what the majority of those were.

I've hardly done anything with it, copied a couple of movies to it (ftp) and watched them and that's it.
I've got a PS3 that I use for media streaming now so this is just sat there doing nothing, and likely never will. (remainder trimmed)

I'm happy taking £30 for it, and would be happy boxing it up and you arranging your own courier so you know you're getting it as cheap as possible.

The posts above were all bumps. We didn't count your second photo post as it contained a rejection/clarification of an offer.
Bump 6 appears to be nothing more than a thinly disguised additional bump. Report your threads when expiring, otherwise you're demoting the threads that belong to other members who take the time to respect others.
Anything beyond Bump 6 (including other member posts would/should also have been deemed a bump, but irrelevant. As JB mentioned above, the thread would have been closed for your final post re additional content offered.
The bottom line is, there is/was no excuse for this, certainly after a previous thread. I won't apply this retrospectively now, however please do appreciate the oversight this time, and refrain from acting to the detriment of other members. It should be a level playing field for all.

And you're the worst of the lot...
1. was an addition, because I realised when I'd posted the pictures up that the antenna was missing. A whole 10 minutes later. If you think that's a hidden bump you're insane.
2. was the first time I actually bumped, and said so. I'd sold one thing, was saying the other was still available.
3. was a reply to a question. At exactly the same time as my first response - so clearly not a bump. Unless, as stated, you're a bit mad....and think you own the place....and like playing the power game.
4. and 5. were clearly stated bumps.
6. was asking you guys to expire it. Which because you didn't meant it was still open for people to ask questions....which they did.
7. and 8 were responding to a question - you're just being bloody idiotic now saying they're bumps.

I've explained why it was over-zealous moderating, and there's nothing for me to apologise for.
They cost me a sale by shutting the thread down - which is surely contrary to what that forum is about.
They claim that responses to questions are bumps - that's just plain stupid.
They claim that additions made to clarify a point at exactly the same time as the first post were bumps - again, stupid.
You keep sucking up though, they'll like that and make you a moderator one day and your life will be complete.
Fortunately, I'm not 10 and this isn't about losing or winning....or what strangers who I'll never meet
think about it.
It's about me putting points to the moderators about the way they moderate, and explaining why I think they're mistaken.
I'm hoping it changes their attitudes so instead of concentrating purely on trying to find a bump in every post in a thread, they try to make the place better.

Your points have been noted, however I didn't include genuine responses in your quoted posts above, only those which I deemed to be bumps.
Posting consecutively will always be deemed a bump, regardless of the time elapsed between posts. It's clearly laid out in the trading rules and advice.
Furthermore, you were reminded a few weeks ago, yet have ignored our advice again.
It's not a power trip here, just a request that members follow the rules, primarily as a sign of respect and fairness to all other members who use the trading forums.
