If you tap the bit saying "all" you can switch to other sections.

If you want the normal site there is a toggle at the bottom of the page which lets you use the normal site.

Yeah did you change something recently so it auto-detected - its the same on the iphone?

Easy to fix, but when you are using a rss reader, the link to safari doesn't work if you are on mobile mode.

As you say though, there is a toggle at the bottom, and I'm not really sure how you could miss it....

double checking didn't see it before, back in a tick

edit: the wii toolbar was hiding it, still think it's stupid that it defaults to mobile mode on the wii, looks amateurish

We didn't auto-detect to start with. However, most sites these days are doing auto-detects for the agent and serving the most appropriate content.

If you switch to normal view it sets the cookie so you don't need to keep doing it. I think that's a workable solution if you prefer the full site on your handset.

Which link do you mean and from where? I'm guessing we can fix it?

Yeah but I don't get to vent my anger to BBC News, Google and eBay do I :p

I tried to use eBay the other day and couldn't find an option to use the normal site. It serves up a castrated version and doesn't seem to make it possible (or at least easy) to switch to the full site. That's annoying.

Had to clear my cookies to see the mobile version of ebay, but it's at the bottom

"view ebay in
Mobile | Classic"

although it doesn't appear when I navigate to it from firefox
http://wap.ebay.co.uk/

This is the address my N95 8Gb throws up and has the view ebay in mobile | classic

ok i use an app called pro rss.... thats not important really, its a rss reader. it lists the hotukdeals rss feeds, and offers an open in safari option.

If I'm on mobile view, all RSS links just forward to seemingly the mobile homepage. Once I've changed to normal view, everything works normally (unless I clear cookies obviously).

You only have to do it once, unless you restore your iphone etc. It's not a problem - just mentioned it. Seems like the custom forum url mod doesn't work on the mobile version?
