BUG - Screen jumps up 1 line at a time about 75% of the time.

JumpingphilJumpingphil

I tend to browse the deals in full text mode trawling through page after page until I have caught up to where I was last time.
Every so often, when I am at the bottom of the screen and click on next ( as in next page ) the whole display will jump upwards 1 line and nothing happens.
I have to move my mouse up one line and click again to get to the next page.
This happens on both the old and the new skin and started happening a few days before the new skin turned up.
I haven't noticed it on any other site yet, but then I spend most of my online time on this site.

I'm using W7 and ie9.

Please excuse any spelling mistakes, my fingers are covered in Terry's chocolate.

Mmmm chocolate... I'll add this to the queue. Thanks JP.

Ah, so you take bribes then?

This has infrequently happened to me in Mozilla Firefox 3.6.23 in the past few days. I have not been able to pinpoint the exact circumstances (hence why I have not logged it as an issue yet) but I do not think it is linked directly to paging through deals.

If I find anything substantial to report I will add a further comment.

    BFN,

It is likely a css:hover issue. But we are looking into it.

Thanks... & be careful reading the last few words of that sentence aloud.

I knew you would answer that one.
It doesn't mean a lot to me and I don't really need to know.

Your proof reading is slipping by the way.

Thanks Phil. "Words" will be had with my Android-based mobile telephone text entry system.

Hero, I have no idea if you have done any work on this or not, but I have now reverted back to IE8 as the stupid download manager that is inbuilt in IE9 won't let me download anything. It tells me that every file has a virus in it and it therefore isn't going to download it.
It even told me that about a free MP3 file that was being offered from a site that regularly gives away MP3 files that I have used for months and months

Anyway, after all that rambling, I have to say that I don't seem to be getting this problem anymore.
So I have no idea whether you have fixed it, or whether it is only a problem if you use IE9.

IE9 is the bane of many a web developers' existence. However, we will still look into this issue, as we would like to be as widely available as possible. Thank you for the update, though. We appreciate it!
    Jumpingphil
Well I'm in no rush to go back to IE9.
I will now wait patiently for the problem with download manager to be sorted.

I have no idea how long that wait will be.

The stupid thing even told me that a file from Microsoft's own site had a virus in it and wouldn't let me download it.

We've tried to duplicate this error in house, and were unsuccessful. We have been putting out many changes recently, so it is possible it was fixed in one of those. If anyone experiences this error again, please bump this thread, thanks, and Rest Easy, Citizens.

(whirrrr meep meep) The fix for this bug is out - it should be corrected now.

I'm now back on IE9 and this is still happening but with more frequency now.
It is a right pain in the rear.

Please unexpire as it is definitely not fixed.

I've re-added this to the queue. We'll take another look at it. Thanks for the report!

It's happening more and more now.

Amended title to reflect the increased frequency of the problem which is really geting on my nerves now.

Do you have any plugins installed for internet explorer 9 JP? I haven't been able to duplicate this issue. Is there a particular section where it is more prevalent than another? I've tried clicking through pages of the main page (http://www.hotukdeals.com) and also through the misc forum, and I've yet to see the page jump up at all. Please let me know! Thanks.
    Jumpingphil
I'll post up pictures of my addons later, photobucket is playing up for me at the moment.
But I basically just browse freebies and deals as said in OP.
It is not happening on any other site that I visit.
