Sorry, I missed that dcx.

So basically we are blaming ghosts?? Still, if they know what the bug is , they can put it right????

Ironically my typing disappeared half way through my reply, first time around.

Chesso, Kippy had posted and deleted, hence you appearing as the latest visible poster in the , but the summary page unfortunately displays the timestamp of the last post (regardless if it's been deleted or not).

Is this always the case as I'm seeing it happen with maybe 25% of threads which seems awfully high.

No, shouldn't be - however if you want to give me 1 of the next 4 threads you view, I can check for deleted posts.

Thanks for the explanation, ASB.

Why would my username be there though and not kippy's, as has been the case with deleted posts up til recently? Hasn't it? It seems a strange thing to have altered.

Hi Chesso,

At the time you posted, you were the last member in the thread with a visible post, hence your username being displayed. However the summary sheet picks up the time of the last poster (it's not yours in this instance, but kippys) - however that post was deleted by the member and replaced shortly afterwards.

So it's basically a 'bug' of sorts as the timestamp should reflect that of the last valid post (although devs may disagree). I shall raise this point.

Thanks

Thanks for reporting this, it looks like there might be a problem with the timezone on some of the servers, we will fix it up.

This still needs to be fixed, I'm afraid.

If the latest poster deletes then the penultimate poster is shown for that time.

Developers avatar seems to sum up what they seem to be actually doing.

Sorry this is a different bug, but yeah definitely something we will fix up in any case.

Seems like your words may have had an element of truth, matt3454, as it prompted a change of avatar...

I think I got that avatar back in the day when we first made the non vbulletin profile pages on hukd, its pretty funny, its just about the polar opposite of how dev gets done on the site though.

chesso & sigma believe this is the same issue:

[BUG]: Last comment date/time in Forum Summary not consistent with thread

Any progress on the problem reported by chesso 6 months ago?
