I'm quite tempted to change my football team, but on last nights performance I'll give them a couple more weeks, until Man Ure hammer us on sunday.

Yes it's a shame they couldn't persuade Woodgate to come back to you...he's the sort of class you are lacking in defence.

MU aren't playing that well at the mo so keep your chin up...as with a lot of football fans Newcastle are my second team...I have a warm spot for the magpies.

Woody's not that daft. He's a Boro lad and the Mag's didn't even get a look in when the Boro came a knockin on his door. He's chuffed to bit's now he's been captain for the last couple of games.Like you say, class act,not for the Geordies.:-D

Nah our fat boy chairman, is refusing to back the manager again. The 2 massive signings we had around deadline day prove that. Sooner some mug of a gazillionaire comes and buys him out the better.
I always thought Woodgate would come back you, especially looking at the mugs we have at the back now, but again our brilliant chairman would only take him on a pay as you play deal so Boro got him.
Best centre half I ever seen in a black and white shirt.

Maybe on your HUKD birthday? We can make a policy that it's the anniversary request ;) Someone else asked recently and that's what I told them. It's possible to do it's just not something I want to be doing all the time as people change their minds.
#11
OK that'll do me, gives me a while to think of a new name I'll like.

Cheers

Just wondering if there is any possibilty of changing my current login/name/nickname to something else. I really don't like my current one...
#16
i dont think you can, i think someone asked this before and was told they needed to re register with a new name :)
[admin]#17
For just general preferences we don't as it would be too much running around on a whim. I think when someone asked before I said on their anniversary or something like that.

Remember also that when you change your name people won't know who you are so it is also confusing.
#18
OK, how about me make a deal (isn't it what this site is all about?) - when I get to 1000 posts, I can then get my name changed?
#19
I am a bit bored with this one.

I think there was going to be a compromise that would allow a member with 'x' amount of posts and time on the forum [one year anniversary for instance], to request a name change.

Registering a new account isn't a good suggestion.

There are some cases where a new user name can be requested [someone signing up using their e-mail address as their user name for example].

Can I Change It To Lollipop? Please

That should be okay. Use the Contact Usif there are any problems once it's changed.
#30
thanks rayman.
#31
No problem :)
#32
Why not make a sticky for name change requests? Just an idea...
#33
Well this thread should be okay if anyone has an immediate need to change theirs, as Lollipop did :)

Make it a sticky to keep at the top to save numerous requests. Im sure that once people figure out you can change names, you may have many requests!;-)

I think for several reasons I would prefer people not to be able to change their name.

Members with a high rep rating are rightfully resepcted and new members maybe look to them for guidance.

These members are also remembered by their username.

If these are changeable once a high rep bar is achieved any old advice/deals could be posted by the unscrupulous(sp) only for them to change their username and become invisible.

In the for sale/trade section there have ben numerous sales gone wrong, if the member could change their username I could forsee problems there too.

I could have changed my name to

Astra_appeal
alfa_appeal
Clio_appeal

hehe
[admin]#37
I'm very hesitant to change usernames because of points including those of greg_68. However, if someone is a long term member and has a good reason it is possible. Generally though people want to change for novelty and not for a reason which is not the best idea.

Not strictly true.
I find that if you do a lot of jokey comments and participate in threads ie the dating threads you can get a lot of rep. That rep does not mean that you have helped anyone with advice etc just that you have put a smile on someones face and are now possibly in the clique?

Remember Catrina, people can be beautiful from within too. I try not to judge by a book by its cover (unless it has boobs on the front or some other naughty thing)
