Here we go again...

"Sale of 'Promotional' Goods"

Many other threads exist, but since the main contributor to the "For Sale/Trade" 'guidelines' has since been sold down the river, we should be trade points of view again.

I read the profiteering rule earlier and was thinking of flogging them for 70% off RRP simply because the other option I have is to donate them to a charity store or throw them in the bin - they're taking up space that I don't have! But since I didn't pay a penny for them I guess it counts as profit right?

I'll probably list them as a joblot on eBay and hopefully someone will take it all at once.

Thanks for that anyway!

You are very welcome.

You could include them with something that may be worth very little to you, but does have a "Recommended Retail Price" presently (or one where you can demonstrate what you paid originally), but effectively offer the promotional items for 'nothing' when purchased with the other item(s).

Either way, depending on what the items are, you may well find a lucrative/captive audience elsewhere.

Are you sure that Amazon are not going to request the return of these items? Are they legally now your property &/or to dispose of as you wish?

Also, are they marked in such a way to indicate they used to be the property of a retailer, or have a very negligible re-sale price ("£0.005", or similar)?

Nope, identical to retail units. I could pretend I bought them and decided not to keep them, but there's just sooo much I have a feeling the mods may not like it...

Mine to keep and do as I wish. Not allowed to resell some of the stuff as brand new though (and some stuff isn't actually available on sale yet so I'd have to wait until they're officially released). I usually do giveaway competitions, but those a quite a bit of effort to organize and run and I'd have to do one every other day in order to shift everything!

Sure thing. May be a while though, need to organize everything, do pictures whilst celebrating the new year (haha).
