agree, even better if we could have an extra column requiring the delivery cost, this can then be added to the overall price

i feel its fine to add the code into the description saying it may work, but when these codes are just being added to items without checking it becomes a pain to think you have found a bargain, go through the process then getting to checkout and finding the code doesnt work so therefore the item isnt the said price

On a sorta related note, what about using the word 'delivered' in the title instead of 'free delivery' etc? - uses less characters

I see this is starting again,

Are the moderators not changing it when reported, or has something changed?

Yep, this is our standard policy. In many cases, it doesn't even have to be reported... We often do it as we see them.

I think the mods, as a group, are fairly quick with these now-a-days.

it would save everyone so much time.

adding plus P&P after a report is of little use when not everyone knows postage costs, hence why i started this thread

You mean people aren't quoting an amount but just saying "plus P&P" instead of something more meaningful like "plus £5 P&P"?

In which case I agree with you - an amount should be quoted

i reported two today to add the postage costs, even put in the report what the postage costs are and all that was added was +P&P

just reported another, never put posatge cost in report and this time its been added correctly, funny that the earlier two where posted by a mod, yet this one wasnt

Regular users can also edit a post and insert P&P charges as a footnote to a posted deal. The ability to do this is useful if there are no mods on at the time and the OP is offline or unable/ unwilling to add P&P to their deal.

Problem is that some members (including one or two that post lots of deals) don't include the cost in the title because they know people will just vote a deal hot or cold based on the cost quoted in the title (many voters don't bother to look at the details).

I agree. That's why I've edited several deals to ensure that the TRUE cost, including P&P, is clearly stated. I'm sure you'll agree that it's very frustrating to go to a deal and find it's actually a few quid more than the OP claimed - especially if the OP is an experienced HUKDer!

This thread is a good example of how postage costs can make a difference
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/479656/glasses-care-repair-kit-halfcost-fo/
Item is £1 and postage is £4........(to be fair to the op of the linked thread they may not have posted many deals but this is where cost should be added to the Title by the mods)

yeah but the postage rates vary on how much you are spending and more importantly where you live so how can he put postage in there to suit everyone in the uk? its not difficult to find the postage costs.....lazy people

Postage and packaging will be charged at a fixed rate of £3.99 per order within mainland UK and N. Ireland, £5.00 to the Scottish Offshore Islands and remote parts of the Scottish Mainland (please contact the Careline for details), £7.50 to the Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Scilly Isles.

then thats finek, but then it should go across the board, and no deals should have to include postage costs, not for the mods to choose which say +P&P and which are edited to add full amount

dont quite understand why this is such a big issue for anyone tbh.....usually the subsequent posts add more details if they are needed from other members and what not

if you feel that strong then use the edit button and add the postage costs or other relevent details yourself rather than getting all worked up about the info not being there

just a suggestion btw not having a pop:)

never said it was a big issue, but posts should include postage costs, if we are now gonna be voting on price of item rather than price of itewm delivered then it should be for all threads, not just depnding on who posts them
#19
If I remember rightly, I think it was perhaps edi or maybe Paul who mentioned that postage costs should be included for sure when the goods are under £10, as that's when it can make a rather large difference to the overall price.

Of course they should always be added for any deal.
