yes since when have spoilers been allowed on here?

I think the football score spoilers are a tricky one tbh-if the theory is that some people want to avoid the scores til they see MOTD later, then what about the people who watch it on sunday? what if I prefer recording it and watching it on monday? When exactly is safe to post results?

Films are different-they can be out for weeks so a spoiler alert is welcome in thread title if people want to discuss it or not.

Spoilers are AGAINST HUKD rules.....ALWAYS been that way

most recent proof of this is when Andywedge gave Minstrelman an infraction for giving away the plotline to something. In fact he was joking and it wasnt true but infraction remained

For the record not breaking any rules here as Minstrelman has been vocal on this subject in many threads.

Well i think less than 2 hours after full time is a bit soon X) However it appears that it doesn't matter anymore.

Also would definately be of interest to find when this rule came into place as maybe Minstrelman has been unfairly infracted.

I spammed it as there was no result posted in the thread, however ultimately respammed when I saw an existing footy thread.

The point I was making, is that really you do have to have a degree of self control. Is it ok to discuss after MOTD, what about Sunday games live on Sky but some don't have access to live footy and again have to wait until MOTD2 or later in the week.

I can see the difference between a Cinematic release and delayed coverage of a sports fixture.

spoilers have never been allowed in the opening post, as far as i know it is still the same, cant see why that would change

easy way would be to have spoiler tags, whereby using the tags would make the text white (or maybe black on a black background) like used on another site. Then you just highlight the text to read it if you want.

Example on another forum here

It didn't need a result posting..........anyone would have to be very mentally challenged not to have worked it out from the thread title.

So we can post spoilers for sports but not cinema?

It's no wonder people get annoyed and rant as their is zero consistency on here. I'm not bothered, i know the rule now and i watch a lot of footy so i can share results as they come in and know it's ok to do now. :)

We don't permit spoilers, however the result was still not clear from the thread title (i use text view), however the OP seemed to indicate that the team in question didn't win.

However ultimately spammed as a result of an existing footy thread in the topic.

I didn't state that rules had changed, just a reminder that some members will complain about anything and that quite often the easiest way to avoid spoilers, intentional or otherwise, it to keep away from sources which might inadvertently disclose the outcome.

It was clear from the title and opening post.

It certainly gives the impression that spoilers are allowed when such a thread is returned with a comment saying to avoid the internet to avoid such things.

I don't get it. Were not allowed to talk about results in threads. Confusing thread without the suspected thread.

If people don't want to see results surely they need to stay away from the thread?

Or we talking about results in OP in title.
