About time this was cleared up

ASB did say that his account was being left open "temporarily" to enable communitcation with the buyer..........

True..... but its only being used to taunt AFAICS.

AFAICS?

And yeah he is basically taking the p now (alleged scammer)
Its bad enough getting scammed but when the person is still posting and actually taking the p it makes it worse

I doubt it.........he didn't even conduct the deal in the thread and did it off board via PM so i can't see him following the guidelines.

You really should know the rules by now. You haven't reported this thread until the last hour or so. For obvious reasons, you haven't let us know beforehand.

Seems like a bidding war started in the thread and you moved to PM in order to ensure you completed the deal despite potential higher offers in the thread.

There is no deal that I can see, nor do I feel there is much we can do for you. I'll leave one account open as a temporary measure to assist in comms. FS/FT access will be denied. I don't know what info you have, if any.

Looking at the comments in the original thread the sale was agreed off thread & outside of FS/T Forum rules. The seller has been physically denied access to FS/T & the account was only left active to help with communications between the buyer and seller. I will have it reviewed further now.

If members do see any suspicious ids please use the report button http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/images/custom_buttons/report.gif on the relevant thread & ask for a MOD review with any relevant concerns / details. Using the report button will not result in any member being automatically banned.

What I would say is I've banned a number of ids in the last few days & have been amazed how quickly some members were trying to buy their items - if something seems to good to be true it usually is. Please, as general advice, take your time, assess the listing & obtain all relevant details before parting with your money or goods. Also PLEASE DO NOT DEAL OFF THREAD - scammers could be selling one imaginary item to 10 buyers - keep all dealing within the thread to protect yourself - can't stress this enough. In the thread in question the buyer ignored this & dealt off thread.

Thanks sigma, the main issue is that we know this seller created at east 3 multi ids which were quickly picked up and banned,it was easy to tell b the manner of posting and comments made, however the main account still remains active and it being used to gloat over a alleged scam

Good to know the user in question cannot access FS/FT at least

Thanks Boothy, that member had been dealt with now.

You've been great btw reporting possible problematic FS/T threads, and we're grateful for all the members help in fs/t to date. Some of the sales are agreed within minutes & unless we lock straight we do appreciate our vigilant members who report & post warnings in threads :)
