Is there really any need for that word to be added ? To be expected on BW but on HUKD.................. ??

"Fed up" would surely be a better alternative for this site ???

Members maybe fooled into thinking that these go to Admin, I think it would be better if it stated "a" forum administrator.

That's not so, emails are accessed by Admin, and two administrators. Other site moderators don't have access.

In all honesty I can only agree with Sassie's statement here. Feedback has become a bit of a joke and a tad frustrating for those that still do try and provide intelligent feedback.

Folk is a work in progress still and will be for another few weeks

The search is the main issue that keep cropping up, I know that, it is usable but members want it to be different.

Should of stayed in beta format, surely that's the whole point in beta.

Search function I fear is a lost cause, unless you can get the team in that does google :whistling:

That function seems to work fine, the developers do have a list of bugs but it seems to be working fine here.
I'll chase it up if a number of you are still having problems though

Yeah admittedly it was maybe a bad idea to roll it out so quickly, but on the other hand we had to put it live so members would use it. We asked a small group of people to provide feedback on folk but we can't force them to list things for sale to thoroughly test the whole process. It had to be done in real time really and we are still working on it.

Im sorry JB and this certainly isnt aimed at you, but if they sorted out what isnt working properly, whether it be a bug or jusy poor judgement calls then im sure people would be only to happy to help, the new site was rolled out before things where put right and you have done the same thing with fo lk, lessons learnt = zero

there is many things that need sorting and everytime they are bumped it, the repsonse is we will look into it, now people cant be arsed and you cant blame them

Going along the lines of agreeing with Sassie, I lost interest straight away with the new Fo.lk site, as it doesn't actually improve anything from the existing site but is missing a great deal so it is in fact atm a waste of the developers/users/admins/moderators time and effort.

Would of been better suited to sort it out before putting it live, I've reported time and time again about problems which just seem to get ignored. I'm not sure why as there sensible suggestions. A feedback thread on Fo.lk might be an option but would that simply get ignored.:)

I don't understand why everyone complains about the search function, if you use it properly, i.e advanced search its almost flawless. Sure its not as advanced as Google's own search clients, but, in my opinion it does the job, you just need to get to grips with it.

I understand that "Admin" has access to them, but if you read what I quoted, it does seem that if you use the form only Admin(Paul) will read them.

As an example.
If a member wanted to complain about rayman to Admin(Paul), they are supposed to use the "Contact Us" form.

rayman could actually pick up the complaint, and respond to the member and sign it "Admin" without them ever knowing that it was actually rayman(who they may have a legitimate grievance with) that had dealt with the complaint.

Think of it like the old style police complaints commission.

If that's the case and with respect why hasn't someone bothered to actually post that in the thread ? The last communication we had with a member of the HUKD Team was on 3/10/2009 when Developer posted the following:

Now that is hardly being courteous to members trying to provide site feedback you must agree ?

Totally agree with Sassie here... the changes in this thread seem to be things you do when you are a developer and are trying to make yourself busy, lol!

Just get told that it is a bug and then no response to my questions - waste of time.... :thinking:

There are several outstanding bugs on the site, but I want to keep encouraging you all to keep submitting bugs. Sometimes it may seem like they are being ignored, but we are working on them, sometimes something that seems like a small thing to fix actually proves to be more work then you would initially think. We have to balance bug fixes with improvements and regular maintenance as well.

All well and good developer but we need to know that someone is at least interested in our feedback. The thread I highlighted and you have now replied to is a prime example.

It can't be that hard to provide say a weekly update on all bugs highlighted by members ? Surely they can be tagged in some way so updates can be provided easily ??

I think everyone realises what you have written above is right but when members are met with continued silence reporting seems to be a bit futile.


To be honest the feedback situation doesn't just apply to bugs, there is also members positive suggestions which appear to be ignored or commented on once and then forgotten.

Ok, whinge over, although I guess I'm only trying to provide feedback. :thinking::roll:

yes, what about answering and sorting out other things, like the setting that defaults to exclude expired when searching vouchers and remains that way once out of the forum, you been looking at for possibly a year, that causes lots of problems, look through feedback theres lots and lots of threads that dont even get answered by a mod let alone admin or the developer
