I don't think any vouchers should be sold on here tbh, all the more so after the post the other day about vouchers being bought with stolen credit cards then traded on internet forums.

Did u happen to buy an iPhone for £169 and get this voucher...? Cos if this is the case, they supposedly don't work (the vouchers that is).

lol @ don, see don your one of the honest ones, there are going to be plenty who will say they paid £269 when they didnt, i suppose unless admin agrees to pull them all then all we can do is warn others and hope nobody gets stung
#10
They definately need to be banned... I'm sorry for the genuine voucher owners (if there are any), but it is for the best.
#11
Definately need to put a halt on them at least until the problems sorted out I reckon.
#12
prob CPW have noticed the error and cancelled the vouchers issued in error?

We need a statement from CPW... through their website or something, if they can confirm a number of these vouchers have been voided then it would make life easier. But for now just ban the lot!

If you paid £169 then the voucher you have has supposedly been cancelled... you could ring up and ask or go in store... the annoying thing is, nothing has been 100% confirmed, just people trying to use it so far.

Agreed

Personally I think selling them is bang out of order anyway. People took advantage of a deal that they probably found here in the first place. Its already known that those who did wont get the value even if they used it themselves - yet its ok to sell them to guillable people with the forum blessing it would seem?

Why dont we just close the voucher section altogether and just sell the free codes we found out about? I dont see it as being any different. Why stop there? I found a good deal on an iPod that will save you money? Give me a tenner and I'll tell you it. Why bother with ebay scams - HUKD scams are just as good!!!

Rant over!

the thing is these are price match vouchers yeah, so those who have received them in error they will get pulled, cpw didnt just give everyone a £100 voucher because they felt like it, although how they managed to boob on such a big scale is beyond me

yeah but how much did you really pay?

i've got one myself and it clearly states
price paid for iphone £269 on 16th april.
well i only paid £169 for mine just like most of the others on this site, so i KNOW that the voucher wasnt meant to be sent out.

i'm sure that me trying to sell or spend it would me that i'm breaking the law by trying to obtain property by deception.
i wonder what the police would say on this.....

Don't think it would ever go that far... However from what people have said the staff try their best to make you look a cheap tit!!!
#21
no i dont think they would go that far but they could if they wanted to. i must admit i'm just glad i got the iphone for 169 and i didnt have to sign the £35p.m contract.
plus i probably wouldnt have passed the credit check.

i do know somebody that was charged with "theft by finding" - when they found a wallet and didnt hand it in.
#22
Yeah, I think we're going to close them up.

It would be appreciated if you could drop a quick report to the mods, if you see any more appearing.

Many thanks.
