dunno like, sainsburys was a gud find !!

I would nominate hotscot with the xboxand 4 games for £49.99 :)
[admin]#3
Would be fun to have nominations and then a voting thread. We should put the nominations in Hot Deals maybe though as not everybody comes to look in this forum and it might not get enough nominations.
#4
I was going to put the suggestion in the Hot Deals forum, but it wasn't a deal so I thought I'd see if it was picked up on here. Oh yes, the Xbox deal! That sorted my sister-in-law's kids out for xmas! Joint first for Alien7 and Hotscot.....
#5
yeah the xbox was a gud deal !

theres been a few kickin about this year !! (can tell cos im always skint )
[admin]#6
Ok I'll make a nominations thread on Boxing Day as that will give us a few days to nominate and then a few days to vote.
#7
Can I nominate myself for the Finding Nemo PS2 gamefor £2 from woolies back in August!!? :p
#8
I would also like to vote on the XBox deal, but the 'hook a duck' post saved me 25% on a top of the range Bissell Carpet Washer.

Really was that me......my i forgot all about that :p
#12
I'd have to go with the xbox, it was a great find

I did make use of the hellmans though too :p . I've not been round that long though so i dont have much to go on

Hmm, do we vote in a bias way or not though? The Hamleys deal seemed like a corcker, but it didn't do anything for me because there was nothing I was interested in....whereas I used the Amazon/Hellmanns code thrice, so I would vote for that even though it wasn't really as 'hot' - if I make sense :)
#14
Starlet - I'm thinking it would be the deal you thought best regardless of whether it was the best or not in the grand scheme of things. The hamleys deal looked good but like you it did nothing for me, so I don't really know what I'm voting for.

With that in mind, there's two deals that really stuck out for me - the 25% off Samsung 32 inch LCD, which along with 40 quid Quidco was a superb deal, very popular. The other one was the Olympus E-500 twin lens deal from Currys - great price for the camera, 1GB card, printer, twin lens kit and case.

Hard choice but I think I'd go for the camera deal as there's been quite a lot of LCD deals but not so many for SLRs.

Clearly the best deal of the year - if it all comes together - is the 60% off Hamleys. And in terms of general usefulness, the Hellmans was great. Used it six times, got a £16.50 discount overall, plus 6 free books, and bumped up small orders to qualify for free delivery. 50,000 Hellamns were shipped by Amazon, most with the promo code no doubt. Thats almost £150,000 discount! Quality.

The most money I have saved on Hotukdeals is probably with mobile phone deals. £360 saved this year so far and £720 last year. Ducks posts are too numerous to mention. Thanks. :santa:

Emma thank you for the kind thought  ,the thread is still going,as it seems to have turned into an advice centre on all things x box.:santa:

It's difficult to pick one out of the many throughout the year.

I would say the Amazon Hellman's book deal, as it worked both ways. We [most of us here] got some really good deals and Amazon/Hellman's didn't withdraw the offer, in fact they never even compained in any way. A very good find and special response from Amazon. Thanks for this alien7 once again too :santa:

Also, from a personal point of view, the XBox deal with four games for just under £50 is/was a real treat :santa: As mentioned above, loads of info in there that I want to get round to reading at some point too :) Thanks for that hotscot and all who contributed to it :santa:

Also there was the HannsG 19" TFT monitor for just £105 posted by BigAde another excellent price for a quality deal.

There are many more that might not have received as many views or had so many pages of discussion/argument :viking: But the above would be my choices that come to mind right now...

Thanks to everyone posting deals and information throughout the year. Not always the material things that have helped. I've learned so much from members input and they deserve a very big mention too! Thanks all :santa:

I think this is the one, hard to tell because the thread is so empty and the link doesn't work but the date is correct.

It was the Club Nokia voucher giveaway. Not only did the link in the voucher emails knock a quid off cdwow dvds until only just recently but the vouchers were for anyone, just an email fill in and immediate send.

I got hundreds of pounds worth of free dvds. Can't beat that.

Yup I was gna post this one it has to be the Pepsi deal for me , it saw me through a halloween party and lasted ages infact I've only just used the last can ! :-D

I drank my pepsi's ages ago but that was a very very good deal!

For me it has to be the Toshiba / Compaq laptops for £405. Both were dual core and with 1gig ram. Bought one for myself and my sister. First time i saw a 20% code from currys. Total cost goes down to about £393 after quidco.

And also, in the summer, i was lucky enough to pick up a Nintendo DS Lite for £50 from Game's 24hr deal.

Amazon and Hellmans deal was rather good - i used it once on the typhoon keboard and mouse (another bargain) - £5, Mulan DVD and Micro SD card.

Amazon -again, for their misprices on the ipod nano 8gb (£114), and the 500gb hard drive. I didnt manage to get any, but did get compensation for of £20 for the nano. Which i used on the WD MyBook 250GB external HD.

Play - £5 voucher. Nightmare Before Xmas - Free.

Play - free POTC coin and Superman Keychain (quality)

CD-WOW - £5 voucher - worked twice for me - Spirited Away - £3, Final Fantasy Spirits Within - Free

Argos - Xbox + 4games (didnt get this though)

And loads more, trying to think.
