you can have emails notifications to let you know someones replied, BUT they rarely work and are no way nearas good as the old system as sometimes i log in from my phone and may have not picked up my emails so wouldnt know...

this has been bought up loads of times but seems like they not interested as replies on things are few and far between,,

shame really.. the sites just too time consuming now :(

Hi iglimpse.

I automatically subscribe to threads that I post in. To check if there's been an update since my last post, i perform the following action.

Goto Profile, Expand Subscribed Threads and review any that have appeared Bold indicate a new response has been made to the thread. There has however been a slight glitch in the sense that if your the last poster in the thread, it may still on occasions remain as bold.

You can set up thread subscriptions automatically for every thread you post in by selecting your Settings Tab and then selecting the following options in the subscriptions tab.

No subscriptions: You won't be automatically subscribed to threads you post in.
Notification email: You'll automatically be subscribed to threads you post in and the site should alert you when the thread has been updated via email.
No email: You'll be automatically subscribed, however no notification will be sent via email.

Selecting No email works best for me.

You can always subscribe to individual threads by selecting the subscribe option at the footer of each OP.

If you're requiring further info, do let us know and we'll try to assist.

Not
on occasions
but every time for me on W7 and FF 3.6.8.
Very, very irritating indeed and been going on now for far too long.

hottoshop.

That's my configuration also. I'll get in touch with you shortly and see if there's anything else causing the issue. I know it's frustrating, so we'll try and get to the bottom of this asap.

Hi,

It is the same for me too ( MS-Windows Vista Ultimate / Mozilla Firefox 3.6.8 ).

Threads where I am the most recent contributor are in bold in my Subscribed Threads list in my Profile.

I have never seen this any other way since the site re-design. Only when I visit the individual thread again is the text returned to normal.

Sorry, I would have mentioned this sooner in the "HUKD Bugs / Glitches" threads but I didn't realise it was supposed to have been fixed already.

BFN,

FYI:

I am also not sure why some of the "envelope" icons in my "Active Deals" list are highlighted & some are not. I raised this in the original "All bugs / problems in this thread please. PLEASE SEE SUBTOPIC THREAD LINKS IN HEADER". Do I need to mentioned this issues again in the current "HUKD Bugs / Glitches" thread?

This site is a bit of fun for me. I definitely don't want email notifications.

Just tedious having to check, can't be bothered most of the time. Thanks for the info above but it seems a few clicks now required, far simpler the way it was.

Is that why the site seems less lively than normal ??

It is a pain in the proverbial, and there is no real easy work around (at the moment ?)

I guess folk have voted with their feet.

Traffic levels are showing as dropping rapidly for this site, while their main "competitor" is moving up.
