It's come to my attention that lately there seem to be an AWFUL lot of near thread-spoliers on the for sale forums here at HDUK.
Below is a transcript of part of a post I submitted in a thread by Claironer (http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/131274/wii-uk-model-incl-sports-receipt-fo/all/for-sale-trade/new/);
There seems to be an awful lot of people on HDUK who have WAAAAY too much time on their hands. Every other post I come across lately is verging on thread-spoiling; people with absolutley NO interest in the item for sale, but intent on putting a downward spin on it in an attempt to prevent people from buying or trading.
IMO, this issue need addressing by the HDUK admin - it's way too rife in here, indeed I have been the subject of people stomping through my FS threads with no interest other than spoiling any potential transactions so I know first hand how frustrating this can be.
Other forums I visit have rules such as you are not to post in a F/S thread unless genuinely interested in the item offered for sale - my question is, can something like that be introduced here also?
It is very frustrating to sell items here, and I have to say it is also made very difficult by some members who degenrate threads by trashing them without concern for the item for sale - if a post meets the rules of HDUK, then people should not be allowed to post/make comment.
Prime example being, Clarions post has NOTHING wrong in it - it's a Wii offered at RETAIL price (and we know how hard they are to come by) - and yet we have plenty of people in the thread banging on about this or that, clearly with no intention of buying the item, and clearly with every intention of putting others off buying.
And so what if he has sold other Wii's - that's nothing to do with anyone but him! He's adhered to the rules here, THAT'S what matters!
The thread meets the rules - people should butt out!
My own experience, earlier this week consisted of games I had for sale and there we had people wading in "it's cheaper at X"... well, yes, it WAS cheaper at "X"... but "X" don't have it in stock - and I was cheaper than those that did!!! Madness; it was pure spoiling for spoiling sake!
DISCUSS - I am genuinely interested to see what others views are on this!
