(i think) they can only get used once.
#2
they are only good for the person who got the email and no one else so its not much of a good deal for everyone
#3
The codes are for you the user only nobody else can use them. maybe the mods need to sort it out instead of just deleting all the posts.
#4
the problem is they can only be used by targeted ebay users, so only those who get emailed/posted the code can use it. so there is no point it being posted here since the only people who can use it already know about it
#5
Yes -they're one-off codes.

Unless the posters have used them first they will lose their discounts. If they HAVE used them already, they are now useless.

Moved to feedback.

how come some peopel get them and others dont? weird.
#8
Thanks for that. I like to know what's going on;-)

Just read the terms and conditions and it says "The voucher is valid only when your ebay email address matches the email address of your paypal account"

I had the £5 off postage one last month but haven't been issued any of these new ones as yet so don't know whats going on or how they allocate them to members.

How much have you bought or sold in the last month just trying to get a idea what the criteria is.
#15
I received a survey from ebay, and I told them of two issues I had had with buyers and sellers. I then received a £10 voucher but it does state that it can only be used once by the registered name and email address. Karen

What we do with them - the same as with the tesco codes.

If the code has not been posted before, we leave it up, just expire it. Then if people actually bother to search for the code, they will see it has been posted.

If people post dupes, we remove as normal, but no-one seems to be bothered searching at all and keep posting the same codes over and over!
#17
I thought you deleted all the posts so nobody could search to see if it had been put up before.
You are right about searching nobody can be bothered to search before posting i always check before i post a deal up to make sure its not been done before.

but when searching, the search criteria is set to ignore expired posts by default. one has to, after performing the search, click on the 'include expired' link at the top in order to display expired deals as well. with the new site layout, this is a feature that is sure to elude some members, while new members, who also happen to be the ones posting the ebay deals, are unaware of this link completely...

i just tried it, i don't know if it's me, but when i searched for 'ebay voucher' none of them came up. then i saw a blue underlined 'include expired' link, which, upon clicking, revealed about 10 expired ebay voucher deals

yes, you are right, my appologies, i thought the default was to include, well no wonder things keep getting duped
#25
Just tried it in 2 other browsers, default is set to "include" so should show expired deals.

All you have to do is pop the actual code in the search box too, makes it dead easy.

mine now is on include expired but as soon as i put in a name into the search voucher it goes to exclude expired
