that is a great idea....i often forget as well. Only thing is that HUKD make money from the click through advertising (and sales?) and they obviously won't get this if you click through from quidco to buy the item so i don't see it happening :-D

I suppose people posting could put a quidco link in the original post....

Basically, this will never happen.

When you click the Go to Link, and place the order via this link it generates the site income. The same income stream as if you were to go through Quidco - except the site gets the money instead of you.

Without income the site doesn't run and it needs to generate funds to upkeep things around here - and Admin will be making a fair bit too...

That's exactly what i do, use Firefox for browsing and looking at the item. and then switch over to Internet Explorer for Quidco, no cookie worries then.

Shouldn't the last click be the one counted.

If you click 'go to deal' and then go to Quidco and click on the merchants after logging in, the quidco link should be the last and overwrite the cookie HUKD has set ?

Or am I wrong ?

Did i miss something here:thinking: ?? ie, the link to oronoa's profile, what does that mean?

emasu must be using the enhanced text editor. If you copy a bit of text that is a link then the reply keeps that formatting. So, to re-cap, Emasu copied the username from the post, which is a link to the profile, pasted it in the enhanced text editor and it appeared as a link.

guv
Yup that would do it. I hadnt clicked the link until it was mentioned. Thought it a bit strange!

I think that cessna from round your way earlier, guv, has just zoomed over my head!! I didn't understand a word of what was said!!! I know about making a word a link, like this,
by using the globe & paperclip thing above. But, I just wondered WHY emasu had made oronoa's name a link to her profile. Does that make sense?

Anyone got any clues ? Do we really need to work with two browsers or not ?

In theory, the latest cookie visited should be the one used... but in some unlikely cases, this isn't what happens and you don't receive your cashback. :-(

So it's not necessary to use a second browser... but it is safer to do so.
