When enough members click on Expired it automatically gets marked as such. You'll need a mod to unexpire it.

Depending on the weight of your vote (same means as when you hot/cold something) it may or may not expire/unexpire immediately.

You can PM a mod if you wish :)

Thanks very much emmajk42. It's this deal if you could expire it for me (no further stock). Much appreciated ;-)

Sure :) I thought it was another one which I have expired as well.

Would it be possible to allow topic creators to make their expired deals expire? It would save mods time and be faster.

I always thought you simply put expired in the title to make a deal expire; Emma put me right a few weeks ago. :)

When we click on expire, and the deal gets expired. Say the deal came back, we would notify a mod to un-expire it.
How come we can't expire it again for when its becomes unavailable? The option is greyed out....anyway of changing this?? :?

I haven't thought of a good way to do it yet. It gets a bit complicated. So like let's say it was expired and you hit unexpired and then should that be notified so someone else can say no really it is expired. You know what I mean?

:? Not really, lol

Could you not to a thing where once you click expired, it changes it to an un-expire button, which would then enable you to unexpire the deal.

For deals that have a definite finish, the mods could have a permanent expire button...you get me? :?

Ok well it works on votes though. Generally votes works because there is a goal and a limit but if there is an indeterminate goal of either expired or unexpired then how would it work?

I have no idea! lol I thought you were the expert :p :giggle:

perhaps if it has gone expired then the original poster of the deal can unexpire it?
[admin]#13
Yeah I think if we could limit to mods and original poster?

sounds the best way to me :-D

I like that idea - only problem could be if the OP doesn't realise/revisit the thread.

Perhaps an opposite version of the spam button but has to gain more "points" ie. can't be unexpired with just 2 high repped members?

I think the idea was to let the original poster have a "unexpired Button" as well as the ops? as soon as the deal was expired it then gives the poster a chance to unexpire it? ( I think ):whistling:

If there was an unexpire button on the page, it would be accessible for the OP & The mods, yes.

I still think the opposite of the spam button would be good :)
