Thats what I thought but the above examples are things like mobiles and 0 and 1 feedback:?

i think its down to mods seeing the thread either looking through it or it being reported, if you see a newbie selling high value goods, then let the user know to upload a photo, someome people don't read the rules so won't upload a photo

doesn't answer the question though:?

Mods, do this occasionally, but when you ask them, they are no where to be seen

Skusey,

Pics become mandatory when a mod asks the question. Should a trader refuse/ignore a request from a member, then we would explore further and consider if the thread merits locking until proof has been submitted.

Answering your original question is a little easier to explain. A mod has reviewed the 1st thread whilst there appears to be no visitation of the 2nd by anyone in the team. Had it been reported, then we would have either locked the thread until pics had been posted and/or clarified the bump(s) used to date, taking into account the repeat posts asking for pics prior to confirming a bid.

For the record, with the item being damaged I would have expected pics to follow, and from a sellers point of view, definitely anticipated. With that in mind I would have locked the thread (had it been reported or spotted) until pics had been provided and bumps used confirmed to the OP.

"Where is the consistency as I cant see why some are and some aint, surely if a 'newbie' adds an item for sale they should be prompted to add a pic?"

There isn't any as such its discretion. But I hope this changes. As I think you should all put photos up whether 99 feedback or none. Why am I any less likely to have my account tampered with by a scammer. Well maybe not but its a possibility. So I always post pictures.

It should be the same rule for all..........it would save so much hassle making pics compulsary. If that is seen as too much chasing up then i don't think it's fair to penalise some people and not others.

It's wrong to always asume it's the newbies that are scammers........there have been a lot of people with good feedback over the years that have scammed people as well.

agreed.

I've been saying this for weeks since the mods discretion thing came into force.

Agreed!
I'd have no problem posting pictures if that was the hard and fast rule, but I resent being picked out in this 'up to the moderators’ discretion' nonsense. Make it a rule for all, or leave me alone.

...Or, don't sell on here as you don't like the rules.

If you bothered to read my posts properly you would see that I have no problem abiding by the rules, so long as the same rules apply to all. In this instance I don't really think that it can be called a rule, whether or not you need to supply pictures is just luck of the draw.

The rules do apply to all "If a mod requests for pics, they're mandatory".

Seems pretty easy to understand.

I say to my son "life isn't fair" when he complains.
