  to be honest I don't take any notice of the temperatures, If I like a deal I go for it whether its hot or cold.

  That's what I have been doing now, but your eyes are still drawn to the temp.
  
  I could place a bet and say that If the average person saw a deal at 0'c they would pass it by, but if they saw the exact same deal at 1000oC it would turn their heads, and that deal is only at 1000oC because its a data key from Tesco, down at the only Tesco within 200 miles of the nearest person at lands end for 50p.
  
  Would still be nice to be able to turn them off completely.

  No it's the system it lets people have the freedom to vote, only way your going to get the system you require is if there was no cold button only heat. Not going to happen.

  It's not the freedom to vote thats bad, its the reasoning behind the vote. The icing on the cake tonight was the Scottish flag pillow going to -300oC because English people didnt like it (no I'm not Scottish) does that make the deal cold ? 360 fanboys voting cold on PS3 stuff and vice versa. The data keys available at store specific Tesco's thats available to less than 0.1% of the public goes to extreme temps, the list goes on and on, its not accurate and it completely ruins the deal.
  
  Or is that members perogitive ? Is it ok to fall out the wrong side of the bed one day and vote cold or hot on something just because you cant be bothered ?

  This is probably the kind of feature that is too niche to include on the site. If you ask nicely some members have made greasemonkey scripts in the past and may be able to build one for you.
