Thoughts?

1st thought = Bad idea

Anyone can add their two penneth to a thread, so it wouldn't be just the impartial "High class members" sorting it out.

"Buyer beware" I can't remember the Latin for it right now, and can't be assed to Google.
Spam the mud slinging threads is my course of action. :)

Yes, but traders who try to abuse/take advantage will be reviewed accordingly.

I totally agree - I have spent a bit of time in FS/FT and have seen the various threads that used frequent misc about deals gone bad and it would be nice if something like this could be put in place but it would just turn into the usual personal attacks, people ganging up etc

Now if a small panel could be formed to do this - the people who tend to help out alot on the FS/FT boards and do their best to assist both sellers/buyers and mod then I suppose that could be a possibility.

Just my thoughts on the subject.

I think the idea of locking thread is so both parties communicate via pm, although i dont quite get that as surely disputes should be there for the mods to see, and also potential buyers/sellers

exactly why i questioned this last time when i had a problem and the mods opened the thread for me, but then closed it again after i had posted the problem.
This i felt the user believed they were in the right, and that the mods were on their side because of this.
Therefore i feel and to allow other potential traders to make their won judgement as well.

I have no idea why this is done, well i do but i dont think it helps the situation, but i suppose it stops all on sundry posting and continually bumping the thread, but i dont think its going to help if either party is not willing to budge on their position
