I think if they understand the risks and are willing to post first the item first, then why should they not be able to post in the FS/FT?

Maybe it would be fairer to include some additional text/warning when someone posts a FS/FT with 0 or negative feedback

Everyone has to start from somewhere in the FS FT section. There has been plenty of members whos first post was selling in the FS FT section and they've gone on to become good members here.

It's just a case of buyer beware on here and there's no guarantee that a new user selling a £300 PS3 is more likely to con you than a long standing member with plenty of feedback.

As long as the FS FT guidelines and rules are followed I can't see anyone being conned, that's the problem though as no one seems to follow them anymore.

As such I think the FS FT rules should be left as they are although I would like to see a sticky at the top of the FS FT forum with a list of bad traders and tell tale signs of con men especially as the Xmas period seems to make them all appear. It will never happen though.

i understand that my concern is that this is a deals site really and not really a FS site but more people are joining just to sell their items and no more than that where are the deals they post or the comments made to show they use the site for what its ment for

does the community think that there should be certain rules for members in the FS section like you can only use the FS section after you have been a member for a certain ammount of time or have a certain ammount of posts you your name like 200 or so

So they start another game to boost their post count, it would take two days of allowable pointless spamming to then be "trusted" to trade.

these are only idea's i just think that site use and time on here should be rewarded with being able to sell the odd item here and there not being able to join and sell within minutes

Guilty... though I'm not sure about me becoming a good member :p

I think it tends to work out well.

There is a little bit too much 'mob rule' - but in the main, anyone who is up to no good, gets shown up pretty quickly.

Build up your sales slowly - don't suddenly pop up with a £300 iphone and expect people to trust you.

I'd like to think I could be trusted for anything now - and I've got my rep, and feedback after starting from scratch like everyone else, so its easy enough to do - providing you start off small time.
