How long ago was it that you bought the item off her?

I brought this member to raymans attention last weekend as suspicious, had a feeling nobody was going to get from them and asked rayman to consider stopping any more sales for this member, not sure if this happened, but alot of members where paying this person without checking details no doubt, the weekend is a prime time for newbies to get in alot of sales before anyone notices

they are now banned....

people should of course check telephone numbers before anything goes wrong however
banned#13
Not sure if Mods can trace it but I hope they can. A simple IP check should get the general location, so any information when these crooks join could and should be vetted.

So what about all those that followed the HUKD rules (like me) in terms of purchasing who are now left out of pocket?
#15
My location kept changing when I was using a dongle. However no excuse, hope the people get to trace the seller who ripped them off, hate it when people do this........ kids items too so I see...... unfair.

police,PP dispute CC chargeback or online money claim providing you verified the contact details prior to sending any money as per guidelines
#17
personally i woulda made them post 1st with no feeback but i do feel they shoulda been blocked earlier

Lesson learned then. Not sure many people go to the extent of checking contact details - but agreed, those are the guidelines.

im sure paypal would have an address as theyre being paid through them, might be worth emailing them as im sure they dont want scammers using their site

pointless getting the details if you do not check them.......better a few quid than a few hundred though...buyer beware as always

You are of course correct. I guess it's nice sometimes to hopefully see the best in some people though.

and no doubt you all paid by gift, for those who didnt, then put in a INR

i also suggest you all also leave negative feedback, as no doubt you all intend on emailing paypal about this, but for those who paid via gift their is no comeback

sadly false details could have been given if it wasn't a confirmed paypal.

I paid via paypal so I will do that now.
#26
i bought off them too .my own fault shoudn't pay up front when no feedback. will i ever learn ? hopefully i will remember to be more cautious in future
#27
What was their name on paypal? I don't know which one it was

If people had read and followed rules and recommendations, then no one would have lost out.

Always get feedback and an image with their name on
Ask for ebay account
get them to send first
get contact details and check them
Use paypal (non gift) so you're covered for non-delivery.

Plenty trade here with no problems, just follow the rules and you should* be fine

*Every so often some one does follow all the rules and gets scammed, all you do is send a money claim order online or go with paypal dispute.

We all know that but obviously wish to see the better in people - to our detriment.

Ditto (cept the scammed part) I always ask for posting first and will only do paypal normal.

There is always someone else going to sell the same item, so don't hesitate to tell them you're not interested unless they post first  They want your money more than you want the item

I think I paid via paypal normal - what's the difference between 'gift' and 'normal'?

I have lost count on how many people say that, but it's YOUR money and you're trusting a complete stranger with no feedback. Unfortunately gone are the days when you could trust people with money as it's all about "me, me, me".
Don't risk it if you can't lose it, read my post above too

If you paid a fee to send the money / they got a fee to recieve it, then you're covered for a INR claim with paypal (Item not recieved). You're not covered if the item isn't described right though.

Check your paypal statement and it will tell you if it was sent via gift

Fair points. However I won't let some spineless no-dick effect how I treat people.

It's at times like this though that I wish these crooks would maybe deal face to face. Being over 6ft and 16 stone, I'm guessing they wouldn't take the Michael.

They seem to have deleted a lot of their previous posts when asked about where they are located for collection etc - Surely this site saves all posted posts if it contained details?
