Looks like it went the same way as the voting power, i've noticed it too.....

Its showing expired

It looks like it took at least 4 high rep members (Emasu tipped the scales!) to expire the deal (and probably other members as well).........

I can see how this system could be abused if only one high rep member could expire a deal but I'm thinking the new level might be a bit too high.

Well, before we changed over, a lot of members had one click power to make things expired, and a lot of things were getting expired which really weren't. I have no idea if admin has adjusted the settings though.

When we started with the new site, I was also able to expire a post on it's own. Personally, I feel that does give us a bit too much power but think that 2/3 high rep people should be able to expire an item.

Voting power, I was on 11+ I think, currently on 8.

What was the ratio of correctly expired deals to INcorrectly expired (roughly) Emma?
When I could expire a deal (having checked it out) I felt I was saving another member or members the time/hassle of PM'ing a Mod & then the Mod the time doing it....now, with no indication of how many (senior) members needed to expire a deal ("I have no idea") I wonder if rather than 3, 4, 5 or more members each checking a deal out & then expiring I'm better off just leaving it for a couple of disgruntled members to PM one of you folks & leave you to do it........?!?!

Will look into it - I think it was set before that one high rep member could mark stuff expired. Although there were some problems recently with people marking expired when stuff wasn't I don't think the calculations were changed.

It may have been that other members had clicked Expired before me but I've Expired deal threads (seemingly) on my own more than a few times before now & I'm sure other (senior/high rep) members have done the same.
It seems that 'calculations' or member 'powers' WERE changed as part of the update, whether intentionally or not - I had a 12 degree vote before, this has since changed to 18, 9, 11 or 12 & is now back down to 9 degrees.

Yeah I'll check the constants. Basically its a big formulae and constants are put into it. We did change the way temperature of deals is calculated and I wonder if that hasn't affected the way voting rep is calculated.

Done and done. :) Feel free to report posts in need of expiring too and just put that as the reason. We'll have 'em done in a jiffy.

If I click "SPAM" on a post do you get an alert for this or shall i also report it? Don't want to be doubling up your alerts.

Lol, it's OK.

No, we don't get alerts for those so best to hit the report button there too. We can never have too many reports in our inbox hehe.
