You mean sort of like a "draft" thread? This could be useful - sometimes when posting a deal you want to go off and double check something or get distracted - so in that regard it could be useful. However at worst its just an annoyance and its not worth a lot of time and effort for Mr Developer....

Same applies to having the first reply available for links - although a better solution for this is to enable links in the op.

i think it would be useful to have that on here.

Why not just wait until you have the time to prepare the thread in full and then just post? :?
#4
or you could open another window and just add to it as you please and submot when you are ready......or heaven forbid just update the op when you have more to add

Yes, exactly like a draft thread.
I am doing a thread at the moment that I have been preparing for weeks, it involves getting a lot of information. I have to save it in "Word" at the moment, and when ready, copy and paste it to the forum.

It would be nice to be able to save a draft and see how it would actually look.

disagree.would only benefit a couple of members at the most who make this type of thread, total waste of resources.

nobody really cares about the formatting.

guv
For what purpose or benefit would you need to "see how it looks"?

Completely pointless.

There are lots of things this site needs. This isn't one of them.

agree, if it aint broke........................................

What's wrong with word or notepad, it's not like you can add anything special to an OP, can't use HTML, so makes no diff to you doing it that way, plus why would the server want to take up more space for a draft page, wouldn't see the benefit really to the website.

As has been said there are for more pressing issues.

not needed and you have only come up with this idea because you are trying to compile 1 thread now thats being a pain after 2 and a half years as a member

its a good idea tbh...but no point now. If it was there in the early days fair enough but no point implementing it now...though it would be very useful for the deals section and would possibly reduce threads created as they could put everything in 1 post.

If its easy to do then it should be done...would be god... but I'm guessing it would be hard and take up a lot of resources implementing this idea so probably no point

IMHO it would be far bett to have a 'multi deal' option....so you could have numerous deals in 1...would reduce all the various deals that get posted for sales etc and would be perfect for creating big deal threads rather than numerous or 1 deal with numerous links in posts underneath

The motor car works fine, why improve it?
