My heat is now only 5 degrees, it used to be 9 why ??

  The temperature of individuals votes were lowered due to things becoming to hot to quick. mine is now also 5.

  OK, so every member can add the same amount of heat? Surely it would be better if the more 'senior' members who actually contribute and post deals should have more kudos ........... anyway rant over.

  I think new members or those that haven't posted many deals still have low voting power (1 or 2 degrees). Mine is also around 5 which is the max.....

  No every member does not have the same voting power. im not entirely sure how it works but probably like you said the more 'senior' members get a higher vote. Most people have a voting power lower than 5.
