It's the hits they will miss.

I've just come back for another look after the disappointment of yesterday.
I still think it’s awful! Normally I would have spent 30 min or so scanning the latest posts, today I can’t be bothered with the effort this new site involves. Many of us are infront of the PC for another reason, work, email, etc. UKHD was quick to check on a regular basis - but not now!

I’ll type this and then I’m off. Time spent on UKHD – 2 min! Deals looked at – ZERO!

Fair point, but some people choose (should I now put in the past tense as members leave and say chose(!)) not to comment at every opportunity - I guess it's down to the individuals character and how strong they feel about the issue. Many use(d!) this forum to get information about deals that they would never go looking for in their day-to-day business, but it provided them with the chance to view what the community thought was unmissable. Just because their post count is low, I do not think it should automatically be aligned that they do not have an opinion that counts about the dreadful new format for the hotukdeals website?

Doesn't mean they didn't buy a lot.

Some of the 3000 people online now, 80 percent are guests who've probably never been a member but always bought stuff...

Aren't you missing the point though. I doesn't matter how many posts somones made. The fact is that its another disgruntled active member that's ready to leave n go elsewhere. I think its a real shame.

I believe there were background tech issues with the previous site so an upgrade was inevitable. However, implementation to this new version could and should have been better managed. And while the Admin team have the ultimate decision, would it have been so hard to inlove the community a little more in the update? Don't get me wrong, I don't think the new site is bad, just different and that takes a bit of getting used to. Oh, and timing, well that could have been a lot better - significant changes like these 2wks before Christmas was a disasterous decision.

Exactly. Many people did not register as members but still contributed money to the site by clicking on the referral links. As more and more of them leave, the site will lose more and more revenue.

i.e. Quidco, also owned by Paul, admin of HUKD

I have never seen any mod or admin discourage any one from using rpoints, topcashback, greasypalm, necter etc
I don't think it's their fault that quidco is the most commonly used one here.
