I had same issue ended up having to use home delivery.
#2
How do you use it then?
#3
It doesn't work on the website either.
#4
Mine doesn't work either. Not happy!
#5
Snap. Was hoping that you could use online as I had an order to place but nowhere to put the code in as it's not a 'card' :(
#6
Same here. Voucher didn't work online. I explained and was given another code to use in store, which also doesn't work.

Yes there is. Look carefully.

Hey all. Vouchers cannot be used to online for home delivery but click and collect is fine.

The code you've been sent should be accepted instore presumably by the staff just inputting the code you give them. Anyone see this thread had joy using theirs? In the meantime we'll see if we can get clarification from the provider.

Wouldn't accept them in my store. An online code would be much easier.

Been reviewing some of the communications and loads of winners confirmed they've managed to use their codes instore. So please leave it with us and we'll get clarification from the provider.

In the meantime i'll move this over to Feedback so it is visible to others.

there is a kiosk thing in some (all?) stores isn't there?
been a while since i have been to argos but i think you can prepay there so no 'humans' to refuse codes without cards
maybe thats what the successful have been doing?

Thats a possibility but considering thats still an instore use, it shouldn't really make a difference. We'll get to the bottom of it! :)

I had same issue, wouldn't let me redeem it in store, they said it needed to be a gift card or printer voucher.

It was accepted for a home delivery order tho no problem. I applied it as a discount code and not a gift card.

code is not working instore for me too. not happy at all as i only use Argos fast track for all of my orders. I was so embarrassed as the sales assistant tried 2 times to use the code then she acted like i was there with a fake code...
#17
Yeah, I have two codes - neither work online. I'm an hours drive from a store, so that's not going to happen any time soon. :|

They do work instore, just say you have a 10 digit argos ecode, not a gift card.

They just select the right option on the till and type the 10 digits in, the value is taken off the order.

People saying gift card, without the card are probably confusing some of the Christmas staff.
#23
I had this problem and call them was told to go into store and give them the code , the store didn't know what to do so they phoned then put code in from office

Sorry folks, hopefully won't be too much longer. We've received a response and theres just one thing that needs to be checked.
[mod]#27
Sorry for the delay here. You need to take your code to the store and these are the instructions you need to provide Argos:

"For Argos store colleagues
From the Tender Screen on the till, select F5 – Vouchers when promoted for appropriate tender, then F6 – Argos Collection Codes When prompted for the serial number, enter the 10 digit Collection Code presented by the customer. The till will validate that the Collection Code can be used with the transaction and deduct the correct amount from the total."

General T&Cs:

1. The Collection Code can only be used once and change will not be given if the value of your purchase is less than the value of the Collection Codes you are spending
2. The Collection Code will expire 18 months from issue.
3. A maximum of 5 Collection Codes can be used in each transaction.
4. All items in Argos are subject to availability.
5. This Collection Code cannot be redeemed for cash or any gift cards / vouchers.
6. Cash redemption value of the Collection Code is 0.001p/0.001c.
7. The Collection Code can be redeemed only at participating Argos stores.
8. All customers agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

To spend your code, simply present it in-store on your mobile device.

The value will be deducted from the total purchase price and you can pay any difference with cash, credit or debit card.

Check & Reserve your items online at argos.co.uk before visiting your local store.

So not a solution for the people being told it can't be accepted without a physical card then?

These are "collection codes" not physical cards (gift cards etc). Collection Codes is the terminology Argos use so these should be accepted based on the instructions i've given above.

The whole thing was a farce. I won a £10 Argos code, never received the code. Won't be bothering again.

As you can see from numerous comments these are not being accepted. And I don't think that patronising some Argos staff member with what to do and what to press is going to help somehow.

These are the instructions given by the provider so will ultimately be from Argos so it is not going to be patronising in the slightest if it helps to get these accepted.
