We do PM if we remove a thread :) However members also spam threads, which means you sometimes won't receive notification.

One button I wish you would bring back is posts started by members. Makes it a lot easier to find what I am looking for have to go through a work around.

That brings up everything I have ever commented on. Nice try though. Advanced search is okay.

The easiest way is to find a current post of mine or the person in question and click next to the OP title. But used to be on the username.

You can change it from "find posts by user" to "find threads by user".

Yep knew that one, i'm on about the way you could click a username and find "posts started by user".

You can do it an Advanced search.

just click on find posts by user, then from the list that comes up click on their name in one of the posts listed and it will show you threads by, although not in order, if you want it in order of last posted by then clcik on profile from that list then threads by, all the way round the wrekin i know - lol also if you clcik on username from the forum it will take you straight to profile (not new profile thing, but old one) where you can click find posts by

Thats all good and well but why would I want to go a complex way to something that used to be so simple. Not sure why you removed that from the coding?

Well sometimes things which are difficult become simple and things which are simple become difficult. There's always a trade-off as there is limited space on a webpage.

Okay fair enough. But ever thought of deleting the stuff from over a year ago, on the deals page. Surely that is wasting a damn sight more room then a link.

Sorry but thats a really weak answer (or trade-off, if you insist!). Why can we not have 'Find more threads by' as well as 'Find more posts by' in the drop-down box when you click on someones name - surely the point of a drop-down box is its a way of allowing extra functionality in a limited space?

Also - whats the point on two seperate profile pages (1,2), why not have just one page which combines the functionality of them both? Doesn't seem to make any sense to me....

I've had posts that I've posted myself which subsequently disappear without a PM. It says I don't have permission to view the page I believe - so does this mean this has been removed by a mod rather than being spammed/expired? I couldn't even find it through my own CP! I know generally mods do PM you if they remove your thread but sometimes nothing gets pmed to you and I'm just sitting there confused at what exactly the reason for removing the thread was.

It really would be very nice if the original poster would be able to see their own thread no matter what happens to it, preferrably if someone moves it, then there is a message on the thread with the action on the thread, like ---> moved to xyz/spammed/expired.

If a thread is "Spammed", the nett result is the same. You can't access the thread. If a mod spams it, they are "supposed" to PM the author, but that can't always happen.
If it's a "Deal", the best thing to do is use the advanced search and see if you have posted a duplicate. If you can't find one the same, ask in this thread:

Where's my thread gone?

I always try and save the link to my threads, that way, if(9/10) it disappears, I post in the thread I have given a link to above with the URL. The mods then re-insate it. :)
