i don't particularly like it, but i'm sure that will change once i get used to it.

however, i'd really like to be able to see a longer list of the hottest deals of the day/week/month as i don't come on here that often. limiting it to 6 is a bit rubbish imo

If you click on the + towards the top right (at least on the old style page) then you got up to 10 deals listed.

On the new skin if you click "Show more" on the bottom of the list of five it will expand to 10.

sorry, i dont like it... i much preferred how the title stood out before, possibly just because it was a different colour.

Also, the title format was simple.. item - price - store.

Now that information is all mixed up in new titles, making it a pain to scan for relevant info when reading through the headings. too many people using different formats.

Yes, if the position of the elements of the thread title text was standardised then it would not look as bad (as you could scan down a certain part of the screen to look for a price).

However, that would make the site look (even) more like an "aggregated" data/news feed, rather than content supplied by individual members.

don't like the fact that on iPad the search filter options are at the bottom of the page, slow loading pictures keeps making me press the wrong button while trying to order search by date!

i can't see this option, i only see 5 deals in 2 columns

i'm also not keen on the follow feed being right at the bottom of the page. it was annoying enough when the timespan or maybe something becoming expired removed it from this list.

What resolution are you at? That should only show like that on low resolution devices but a few members have mentioned it's coming up on high res when it shouldn't.

lol, when i have the window maximised on one of my monitors it appears as it used to, reduced in size or maximised on the other lower res monitor the layout changes to as per my screenshot.

now that is daft! just keep it all in the same place! generally I open HUKD in a non-maximised window or not on my bigger monitor.

i know what that is, but imo it should be set to only shift stuff about at a lower resolution. 1024 is too high; i have yet to see a site that does it quite like this and actually removes information. i didn't even notice that it employed this technique until fully maximised.

oh well, life goes on.

You might be thinking of dynamic width rather than responsive design. Anyways, the idea is that it presents the info in the best way for the screen size. In my opinion having the content full width and moving the side bar down makes sense for smaller resolutions. We are changing the 1024 to 950px so that the threshold is lower though.

May I suggest that perhaps HUKD web designers may have misunderstood some marketing exploits in 1985, and perhaps using there new skin didn't quite get what Coca Cola did in 1985..

This about a billion times, i'm getting eye strain from trying to read the list. When I look at deals I don't care about the user name, so why is that in the line of the deals? This current layout makes the deals the LEAST important thing on the page.

I think it's pretty good.

Sure, it's not perfect, but what is? It's a simple layout that just works. Functionality is good and it's easy to find what you're looking for.

I know a lot of people were against it initially but I really like it. Give it a go and I'm sure you'll get to like it too.
