HUKD reloaded - Preview the new design
Over the past few months, our busy team have been working on improving the layout and functionality of HUKD. Following suggestions from the community, we've thought hard about the use of vertical space, tried to clean everything up and make it more pleasing to the eye and, more importantly, much, much faster. We've also had a think about the different ways people use and view HUKD, and hope the new layout will be an improvement for all.

Couple of new features added so far-
We've cleaned everything up, making it more readable and improving site speed.
When using the new design, you'll notice only the content you are currently viewing loads, the rest appears as you scroll down which helps speed things up
If you're using a tablet, you'll see the content reorganises itself quickly to make the most of your screen size. If you're not a tablet user and you want to check this out, just minimise your screen (chrome / firefox)
If you're looking through the deals forum, click the deal title and it takes you to the opening post. Click the comments button and you'll land at your last unread comment. Swish.
One for the deal posters to aim for - superhot deals now get a cute little flame icon - eg http://preview.hotukdeals.com/deals/blackberry-playbook-tablet-pc-64-gb-129-currys-1294090
We've separated the tools box to make them more prominent / easier to use. They're now listed neatly to the side of your Get Deal button.
We're also planning on adding a few other new features, including a success button for vouchers in the near future.
Please take a look around our preview site, and let us know if you find any issues or problems with the new layout. As always, all feedback is appreciated and we're happy to answer any questions.

The whole mess is so cramped and unpleasant to read (PC, Firefox), I won't even try the new navigation features.

Will we still have access to the old site?
---
I tried to create a "Freebie" thread so a vote could be gained about returning to the the "old skin", but the thread was moved to the "Misc" Forum:
Use the ("2011-09") HotUKDeals.com "old skin" for free
My intention was to allow members to vote with their fingers, before voting with their virtual feet.

Haha well you did suggest that it would be broken :D

I think I was just too quick before the master switch was flicked.
When I posted my second comment the thread was being edited.
I can gain access to the preview site now.
It is working now, of sorts...
I am "automagically" logged-in to the Preview site.
I can see the tabs...
[HOT] [NEW] [DISCUSSED] [CARDIFF (1)]
Cardiff isn't even in the same country!
If you must strip these, do you think you could retain just single blank lines, & reduce doubles (or further multiples) to just one?
Here is an example from the [For Sale/Trade] tab page:
(Old Skin)
(Preview Site)

If you are making a list, I'm not keen on how the tooltip captions remain on the screen when moving from one "tool" (say "B" for Bold [CTRL+B]) along to the other "tools" (over "Italic", "Underline", "Quote", & so on, up to "Preview Comment") in the "Post a Comment" area.
Move too quickly & you can see three or four tooltips at a time.
Firstly, why are there "missing" icons.
Secondly, why the need to have two "Close this box" links.
Finally, I am not sharing a "Deal".

Do they fade out though or are they remaining/overlapping?
