I fully understand that, but it makes money by us users posting links. Sorry but how do we know that Amibees is not self promoting???

The HUKD affiliate links are explained in this thread :

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/255674/advertising-how-does-hukd-make-mone/

The automatically inserted HUKD site affiliate links are different to members who list private affiliate weblinks in their deal posts which could link to websites they are associated with, marketing companies or cashback / referral schemes etc ie they gain a benefit from it every time a HUKD member clicks their link.

We do not allow this form of self promotion, it's listed in the HUKD Code of Conduct :
* Self promotion of businesses and anyone involved with them, charity request threads made without prior permission, auction sites, personal sales elsewhere, links to personal websites, requests for referrals, referral links, third party affiliate links, advertising for personal gain and displaying of e-mail address in the forums is spam

And also in the Newcomers Help Thread :
Please note, we do not allow:

1. Referrals
2. 3rd party affiliate links
3. Amazon MarketPlace/PlayTrade deals
4. eBay auctions/eBay based sellers
5. Self promotion of any kind
6. Spam
7. Non UK sites (except those pre-approved by Admin)
8. UK Sole Traders/Individuals

Those members who therefore do list personal affiliate links are in breach of the Forum rules & will receive an infraction if it's relevant after the source of the affiliate link has been investigated. The Moderators are able to check if the link has been added by the deal poster or if it's an auto link.

We don't per se, the point I was making is that it's not always that easy to tell from this side of the fence

They are the site Rules..... and Zepp does clearly say at the end of SAW I, 'those are the rules'

Rules are made to be broken, otherwise there wouldn't be any need for them. ;)

How can you tell what are personal or site affiliates? I just block the lot at my router and keep getting different names for affiliates off here.

p.s. this site hasn't made any money out of me for 4 yrs, quidco has though pff.
