prob is you ask for proof and get slammed

Well there could be 5,000 in stock items in Location X, and no items in Location Y, so it's hard to judge

Personally i think there should be an entire group separation which consists of either an online deal or instore deal, and then each one would have the usual categories. And for deals that are in both groups, simply show that deal in both.

As the majority of instore deals are wild goose chases. Or people posting fake deals just to get 1000 degrees of heat.

but asking for proof doesnt mean yr store is going to have any stock left.

But surely thats the magic of the 'Expire' button. When enough people cant get one in their area they expire it.

Maybe there should be a "clearance" section? (The WH Smiths deals did my head in a while back)

These deals do help some people - especially those with the patience to phone round local stores, locate stock and make a special journey. Making a special journey on the off chance for these is a waste of time and effort and my advice would be - DON'T

Having said that 99% of the time you should be capable of working out whether there's likely to be stock or not, so you can use common sense - and perhas we don't need a clearance section after all??

Also, I don't know what you would call minimums tock levels too, a CEX item only had 2 copies online but plenty in store. I was lucky enough to get one of the 2 online copies so left heat and rep. It was useful to me. But if you had arrived 10 minues later it may have been no use whatsoever. Luck of the draw?

PS Have I been trolled by a multi?? :w00t:

that is the beauty of this site though if there is no stock the deal will go cold and be expired i don't think people who go to all the effort to try and help people should be penalised for it.

As mentioned, the forum is essentially user driven. Expire and cold buttons serve a purpose if enough members can't find stock. For us to exclude area specific deals may mean members miss out on the misprices and discounts which made this site what it is :)

What if instore deals and online ones are separated though? like i suggested.

I think people with 9 posts, who only joined a few days ago, shouldn't be allowed an opinion, especially when they appear to have written it in code.

jb said it - the site is user driven, and mainly by users who have been here for years - what gives you the right to think you can tell people what deals to post?!

But its like that now isnt it?

submit a deal asks if its online only.

But they all show together though. And there are cases such as the 32" Technika deal, where an item was both online and instore but is now instore, and a lot of people will get confused by it saying it's also online. Because a lot of people don't want to read through 1,000 posts of crap to find it out.

you can change your profile to only show online / offline etc

it would be a nightmare to have every deal that was online & offline in a seperate thread each.

I normally click the link to see if its available online rather than reading a thousand posts :)

1.)
Example you require okay... i have had experiance just like the argos deal,,,i reserved a couple of " Terrys Chocolate Orange" ( if anyone remembers the deal) and when i went in stor to collect they said that " as too many reservs have been made, we cannot give you your item". - So that wasted my time.

2.)another example is that, i reserved an usb from Jesscops and went over a mile to collect the item, then the assistance said that they are out of stock due to the demand in that product. :whistling:

So There Are My Examples =D
