garbage456,

If you've never had an infraction before, you most certainly would only end up with a warning. In this instance you never received any infraction, however as you had consecutively posted 4 in a row at one point and 3 of those were deemed to be bumps, your thread was closed.

You've had an explanation of where you went wrong and how to rectify in the future. Please take this advice in order to prevent future thread closures.

We have to repeat the same information over and over. Every time a member unfairly bumps their thread, they are demoting another listing. Please try to consider this.

Nonsense post and without any foundation. If you have something constructive to add, please do so, otherwise refrain from posting. This isn't misc.

I reply to each individual question and then get a thread locked?

Advice already give via PM. Use Multi Quote or append to previous post as it was the last in the thread - each time.

Thanks.

I have asked this many a time, but will try again, as the rules do change and thigs are added do you expect members to read the rules before they list every item, there is nothing anywhere to clearly show a rules change, and addition, etc,etc

We would like comments in feedback to be constructive. There is an opportunity to review the rules each an every time a thread is created. Should members decline that opportunity to review, then we can't be held responsible for their actions.

That said, If members wish to keep on top of the rule changes, I'd recommend subscribing to the FS/FT rules thread, noting posts #2 and #3 to see if any changes (post will be marked as updated at footer) have taken place recently. Subscribing to the rules thread will also keep them up to date with changes in detail. I think that's quite a simple option, and members who choose to disregard the "STOP" sign upon each thread creation should appreciate the risks involved.

If it's a new rule change, we tend to close the thread and inform, rather than infract. However that can only go on for so long.

then maybe the only people who should be able to add to the thread should be mods, there is alot of chit chat that goes on in there, feedback should be the place to air concerns over that new rules, not within the thread, and it also bumps other threads unfairly when chit chat goes on in there

Posts #2 and #3 offer a very clear summary. By following my advice, it should make it a lot easier for people to comply and indeed, skip over checking every time by reviewing the footers.

The comment regarding reading the rest of the thread is handy to gain an understanding of how rules sometimes evolve or indeed if clarification is required on certain items.

Post #2 and #3 give the answer do they not ?

If I post in FS/FT I'd look to see if the date in post #2 or #3 is later than my last thread creation. If so, then I review. If not, then I know nothing has changed.

It would only take a few seconds for each member to do that, and it's linked prior to every thread they create.

firstly you say subscribe to it, then when this is questioned you say read it before every post you make (so why say subscribe), not going to say anything else on this because you know my views on the state of the fs board, you expect members to staff it and yet take no notice of any ideas/suggestions put forward to make it easier on those that "staff it", the board does naff all for hukd money wise and ide respect hukd far more if you bloody well just said we dont give a crap about it, but feel free to use it

We do care about it and it's a very popular feature that many members use . I offered a simple solution to the 'problem', so I don't get the point your trying to make or infer.

you said for members to subscribe, i then said it should be used by mods only then, meaning if you received notification you would know something had been changed, at the mo the way it is, is anyone can post in it meaning you get notification if i post i wiped my butt today, not exactly a rule change, then to this you said member should read through it every time they post, so need to subscribe then is there, its just bloody rediculous, yes may only take a few seconds to see if there has been a mod edit, but new members dont know the ins and outs of hukds ass, christ even long term members dont know half of where to find anything, to search, to leave feedback, but lets not make anything easier as it aint really hukd staff that staff it is it

and now im gonna shut my trap, others have gone for speaking abruptly about hukd

You seem to be ranting on and missing the point. It takes seconds to check post #2 and #3. If that's too much trouble, then you're having a laugh.

Surely 4 replies in 2 minutes isn't really bumping your thread 4 times? As it was already at the top after the first reply (which is allowed by law aka the HUKD forum rules )? If you leave it 1 hr between answering each question then yes, thats unfair bumping. Thoughts?
#19
garbage456
maybe then get rid of the discussed tag and just have the new only, that will stop people getting threads locked, and stop people getting angry.

So you believe if HUKD got rid of the "discussed" option it would stop threads being locked?
If it did, would it be easier to use the FS/FT forum and stop members getting irate?

It just might work.

What about 4 replies in 3 minutes?

Dude this site is full of annoying lil jobsworths.

the whole point of discussed is when someone replies then it goes to the top, just scrap it.

let people use the search function.

it just annoys me so much i did 5 replies in 3 minutes whatever it was, in that time, there was probably no other threads being answered anyway so my SO CALLED bumping has got the thread banned for gaining absolutely nothing, i think it is a waste of mod time tbh, looking for these types of bumps. its almost like a jobs worth.

I am sorry you cant put that christmas tree there unless all 3000 people attending wear a yellow hi vis jacket

You're wasting your breath especially on aSB. I'd recommend banging your head against the wall instead of trying to get an explanation. It's far less painful.

Cassidy, again - if nothing constructive to add, move along.

deek72, you always get a response/explanation. Please don't confuse that with not getting a favourable response.

No I don't. I asked you what happened to the posters of the 20 FS/FT posts I reported for thread spoiling the other day, after you childishly suspended me for a friendly 2 work quip in a FS thread. You denied even seeing them.

I let you know that mods deal with them and if an infraction is appropriate, we'll apply to the account. As you don't have access to previous history, you'll have to leave the judgement to us. If 1st time offender then there might just be a yellow card issued, so it won't always be visible to you.

Please just take your infraction on the chin and learn from it. Not a big deal, no point in continuing any sort of crusade.

It's not a crusade. I just don't like you at all and the feeling is obviously mutual, or else you would never have been so petty in the first place.

Edit: I can't really say I don't like you as I don't know you. I should have said I don't like the way you conduct yourself on here.

You might not have respect for the mods, but please at least ensure you have some for members who take time to post FS/FT threads. Your post demoted a listing. You never gave that any consideration did you ?

If you have anything further to say on this matter, take it to Contact Us. Thanks.

As far as I am concerned the whole rulebook should be re-written. It's completely unfair, and the site is falling to pieces. Every thread that gets unfairly deleted or locked merely drives another good member away.
Very soon, HUKD will be composed of only lowballers ... all lowballing each other. Any member with an ounce of common decency will have left or thrown in their membership.

the rules read there to be read and if you agfree to them you are free to use the site as you wish.......i fail to see how people cannot keep upto date with the rules changing, a complete nonsense argument. i am subscribed to the said thread and i quickly check to see whats been changed when it pops up in my recent threads

i do not need to read every single post in there as some have been there for several years and im not aware of anyone receiving 7 day bans for a first time offence although correct me if im wrong.

abide by the rules or find something more rewarding in life to occupy your time whingers:)
