wheres the proof this isn't nationwide? Until anyone knows for sure it's worth posting

i totally agree with your point . However i think you used a poor example as although maybe not every asda will have these that cheap i reckon over half would

This was posted at 50p before and WAS nationwide ... sadly by the time I got there the freezer was bare ... so I know that I won't get it at 25p for sure ... :)

I don't know how you would find out if it is nationwide though ... you can only post it and hope it helps someone I guess.

PS Lovin' my garlic presses BTW! :)

ok i was a bit annoyed....not done my research.... poor example but u get my point!

As HUKD allows you to select "Instore" when submitting a deal, I think that it is acceptable.

How do you prove that something isn't nationwide?(Reason for voting cold)

It seems that this one could've been at more than one store.

I do know what you mean, just been looking for an example but can't see one off hand - when someone posts that they got something in the clearance section at a particular Sainsburys for example ... mind you these tend to get voted cole or ignored ...

Would it be possible to add something to the Deal post showing whether it is instore only? It asks for that info when you are loading it, but doesn't show up on the deal itself (unless I don't know what I'm looking for again...!)

do u mean like this http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/239295/asda-smart-price-rotary-airer-insto/ i dont understand how this is a hot deal when u can tell its a misprice

At the end of the day local deals are probably less likely to be voted hot as they are only relevant to people who live locally. If its a local deal - I don't vote on it.
I seem to remember there was a cheap steak meal posted at a pub in Blackburn which seemed popular. They are good deals if you live near them but otherwise I just ignore them......

Problem with that is they are often not "local" but national stores that may have just had an offer on in one store. No one is any the wiser. Ive so many "great deals" that look wonderful on paper then you realise later no one else managed to benefit, even though many wanted to!

A bit like the .97p clearance stuff at Dixons/Currys that usually only a few manage to get hold of? or a an advance sale notice (eg Play or Ebuyer) which gets voted hot (then cold when its rubbish). Don't think there is an easy solution to this - just a another quirk of the system...

Yeh I agree. I've often been suspicious of some deals being posting that look like real bargains but no one can see when they go into the store. Not sure why people would do that, but sure it happens.

thanks for the examples....exactly what im talkng about and sadly these r the ones that get voted hot..... flooding hot deals with things ppl cant get a hold of...so peoples expectations are higher...thus genuinely hot deals for the public dont get the same heat and can be overlooked....

a misprice in ur local asda is not a national glitch..
