You only have 20 likes in 4 years/406 comments. That is below an acceptable level. By your reasoning, does that mean you should be suspended automatically ? -you seem to be an un-liked and irrelevant member of hotukdeals and wasting bandwidth. Sorry to say that people with small willys are the first to complain in a willy waving contest.

No we are not.

Quinten - if you think that threads sway from discussion relevant/appropriate to the deal then please just report it. What you suggest would be a little unfair and no doubt be subject to so much abuse before any moderator or Admin could jump in to ensure everything is proceeding as it should. As "Trolling" is against CoC, these comments should also be reported where appropriate.

Thanks.

I like how you include realblender in the "we" of those with small willies, 'jay.

Oh... hang on... that's a -1 for me.

It would be no different than the mechanism that decides if a deal is hot or not. Once you've given your vote, you can not vote again and the chances of more than 100 members 'ganging up' on someone would be considerably small, unless that someone is a genuine ****. And then he/she would deserve a suspension.

Anyway, thought it was a feedback forum, so I've left it.

If the recommendation is that I should report these posts, then I will.

How about a "Dislike this Comment" option to complement the "Like this comment" function?

Couple this with a Profile setting so you can opt to automatically ignore any comments made by members with a certain number of "Dislikes".

For example, in the Member Profile you can opt to set the threshold to 25 "Dislikes".

Whenever a single comment reaches that tally, then the comment is not shown (&/or may be revealed by "expanding" as the current "Ignore" feature is implemented, or by changing the "Dislikes" threshold to a larger number).

I like the Eurogamer.net like/dislike system. When a comment reaches a certain number of "dislikes", that comment is hidden from view and you can choose whether or not to view it. Maybe a similar system to that would work.

Nah I'd rather hammer the spam button personally :p

Why? Are your servants on holiday?

I didn't realise Eurogamer.net had implemented a similar suggestion to mine. I used to contribute a lot to that site, but the in-fighting & "swearing because I can" comments annoyed me enough to not bother continuing (much like BitterWallet.com).

Sounds like I can go back (to Eurogamer) now. Thanks rob'.

Op, you realise that if your idea is implemented you'll be suspended right?
