You were answered in the thread there :)

If a seller/thread OP asks for their thread to be locked then we do it. It stops other people commenting in the thread and unfairly bumping valid threads down the forum, it also makes it clear that the item in question is no longer available.

We can then unlock if there are any further issues.

Most OPs wait until feedback has been exchanged before requesting a lock :)

I've given up on FS/FT.......it's all got too muddled and no-one really knows what they are doing anymore.

as i see it, the thread is locked to stop other people making needless comments or daft people not actually seeing that the item/s have already been sold :?as happens heaps of times that ive seen. if there is an isuue either party involved in the transaction can report the thread and have it re-opened for feedback or issues,if any occur:)

edit:as jb already said which i didnt bother to read:?

Leaving feedback on the thread ie if they are happy with the goods or there is a problem.

Like on a recent one i was a buyer,i had to email for the thread to be unlocked, then i mentioned my displeasure in a PM and on the thread about the goods.:-D
