It's probably because you posted this? Then continued to post in that thread.

As I said in that post, how do you or the other mods know that I have not changed my mind.
I tried to get hold of a van but I'd just got let down :x
I'm 41 and allowed to change my mind. :p

edit,
Thanks for replying Ray.

These are your replies:

In that case I withdraw my interest.

The Van I had in mind has fallen through.:x

We try to edit/remove posts as little as possible. However in the FS/FT forum right now we are finding a lot of conversation which is not between interested parties. I know it isn't quite right as we don't have firm guidelines down right now but this is something we are working on and hope to have an updated FS/FT guidelines post very soon. As the forum grows it needs more structure to keep it from getting too out of hand.

Forget it, I'm getting fed up of this carp.
Censorship of my posts is out of order.

I understand that and I also agree but let ME decide if I've changed my mind. Let ME decide if I can get another van. Let ME ask the questions I want answering.

I will look into the thread dinosteveus, I am not familiar with it off-hand. What I'm referring to in my post is that we want to keep the threads open for people who are specifically interested in buying/selling on that particular thread.

Thank you Paul

I have used the FS/FT board as a seller and buyer. As you know ;-)
I would have bought a MP4 player last night/this morning but a Mod removed my posts because they were not 'polite' enough.
I don't 'beat around the bush', with the questions and I say 'what I mean and mean what I say'. Maybe I'm a bit too blunt, but everybody knows that's how I am. :whistling:

If you're referring to the mp4 thread that was removed that was due to issues with the seller not with your posts.

As I said I will look into that and we will have more useful guidelines up soon. In the meantime though I have asked the mods to keep threads on topic with discussion between buying/selling parties only.

Before it was removed my posts had been pulled last night by Cat.
I ended up posting this:-
http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45351
on the FS board. I wanted my question left so I had a record of them, but with no record of my posts I did not want to continue with trade discussions.
I ended up buying a new one :-(

There is a slight problem in doing that though Admin because to be honest if anyone noticed something untoward in a thread where I was buying or selling from I would welcome them asking questions.

Not everyone has the same experiences of buying and selling and not everbody has the ability or means to be able to check certain things.

I realise it is difficult area to moderate but surely as long as questions are kept polite and FACTUAL then they can only do good.
Just my opinion, I may be wrong.

Good points and I've said exactly the same thing many times. :whistling:

I'm happy to have a buyer/seller education and tips for trading thread where guidelines are given on how to make decisions on trading safely. At the end of the day people will decide for themselves what their acceptable risk factor is.

Mods remove 'Hot Deals' from scam sites and spammers for the benefit of the members.
Why not the same idea for the FS board? If an actual picture is not posted and the 'seller' has not complied with the board guidelines (Full name, Email address etc) within 30 minutes of posting, then that post gets removed?

edit,
The ebay tips thread has enough guidelines if buyers and sellers can be bothered to read it.

I think the same as well! Good points.
