Im not entirely sure what you mean but if you reported your issue and nothing "changed" then it has had moderator review already. Was that your question?

Jay, after a while you get to know how this site works, I know that that report landed with Syzable which is why it was automatically dismissed, are you now going to tell me that comment by the helper was not thread spoiling? The OP of that post has posted over a thousand deals and is more than aware of when reposts are 'allowed'.

I've not seen your report but I have seen the thread in question. If you reported it and nothing "changed", then you'll need to follow the correct route. I've not forgotten about our exchange of messages btw which is something I will get back to asap - i've just been away.

I've not seen your report but I have seen the thread in question. If you reported it and nothing "changed", then you'll need to follow the correct route. I've not forgotten about our exchange of messages btw which is something I will get back to asap - i've just been away.

Well please take a look at my report, if not just to understand it all, I'm sorry Jay but this is why I have turned my back on posting deals on HUKD, a comment I made on an Amazon price match thread was quickly removed by your mods to protect the deal, there is no consistency from the mods to users, please do get back to me regarding the messages, even though we don't always get the responses we require I thank you for your swift replys in this thread. Maybe you should hold a Mods workshop (_;)

I'd rather a thread was left open for discussion than it descend into a free-for-all and inevitably end up being locked because it has strayed off topic. We are now talking procedure here.

I disagree. Most complaints are generic and could be easily solved with, and/or answered by direct contact either on a forum or by IM rather than having mods direct people to the 'contact us' link. Most people just want an explanation to why something has happened and instead of giving that information you demand people use the 'contact us' link and even when complaints are made little feedback is given.

For a community driven site it seems quite obsurd that the community is treat with such disdain.

Why is it that you allow (by "you" I mean this site) criticism of any other retailer or organisation yet are reluctant to accept criticism or to openly discuss grievances regarding HUKD? Threads are either locked or members threatened in order to encourage them to privately contact the mods instead of openly discussing procedure.

For a community driven website there seems to be little community input.


There is a difference between discussion of HUKD procedure and querying the actions of a moderator. With that being said, both of which should be raised for review using the Contact Us facility. If you think HUKD needs to consider a "change", that decision can only be made by Admin.

It seems that the core message of this site as a community driven website is overridden by the belief that it should be over moderated as though we are children who need to be taught better.


In an ideal (if not perfect) world we would have moderators on HUKD that you'd rarely ever see unless you needed them. Just going about making sure things were ticking over as they should.

I disagree. Most complaints are generic and could be easily solved with and/or answered by direct contact either on a forum or by IM rather than having mods direct people to the 'contact us' link. Most people just want an explanation to why something has happened and instead of giving that information you demand people use the 'contact us' link and even when complaints are made little feedback is given.

For a community driven site it seems quite obsurd that the community is treat with such disdain.

fully agree but if you actually use contact us the reply you get is even more 'generic'
just a copy paste of something irrelevant to the issue raised

You are asking here about a specific moderator and a specific issue. You need to use the Contact Us facility because you are asking for an Admin response. That is the correct route to follow in order for you to get a response.

ah yes the delay how could i forget, one of mine was sent to wrong address apparently

If you directly criticise one of the (unpaid) staff, Moderators, or Admin directly, from my experience, you'll get a response.

Just look at the input to this thread this evening, for example :)

The pattern that seems to be emerging with these issues is that you will find that the criticism is sourced from regular users, the ones who input many hours daily to this website, unfortunately our reward for said input is all correspondence to be made through contact us as nobody wishes to face any issues face on.
