Mods - why am i not receiving deal alerts by email? I only get subscription updates now.

    Can you check your custom settings page for me, and tell me which boxes are checked? Thanks! :)

    That explains it - do you know why the 'send email alerts' box was unticked?
    I haven't been on that settings page for quite a while.

    It could have been unticked because your e-mail service provided bounced a few deal alert e-mails. If it happens again please let me know and I'll look into it further! I'm glad it was that easy this time :). Rest Easy, Citizen.

    There are a few of you experiencing this problem, sorry. We'll look into it. In the meantime please ensure your newsletter option on your settings page is ticked, as Hero mentioned above.

    Occasionally I have this problem where no emails appear, when I check my settings;for some reason the box has become unticked without any intervention from me.

    For the last few days this has happened for the last 3 days!

    When I replace the tick it works again.

    Your e-mail host was having some problems, potentially is still having some problems. We get back "E-mail Doesn't Exist" and "Bad Connection" errors occasionally when we try and send you e-mail at that address. To reduce the appearance of "Spam" like behaviour, we automatically unsubscribe users whose e-mails bounce too often. Sorry for the inconvenience!

    mods, since yesterday email alerts stopped working

    Virgin switched the way they were handling Spam, and the e-mails are getting blocked by your service provider, as has been discussed in this thread. We're working on a way to get them unspammed, but it is likely because you have not elected to receive the "Digest alerts".

    I would suggest talking to your service provider in the meantime to see if you can elect to receive e-mails from no-reply@hotukdeals.com, or add that address to a "Safe list" of some sort, or elect to receive the "digest" e-mail alerts instead. Or subscribe to your custom rss feed, to which a link is located on the custom settings page.
