totally agree, always see some user with 100+ feedback selling items without the need of posting the pics and having no trouble off the mods and other users. yet when a new member posts a for sale thread theres not one minute goes by when at least 1 mod and 2 members quoting they need to upload pic of username and date. should apply to every member new or old imo

Even a picture isn't proof though. They could add a picture with their name/date and still scam you.

its not a requirement so I never post a pic as cant be bothered

can understand why its enforced for new members though

fine the way things are tbh

Somebody with a feedback of 100+ has that feedback for a reason. That's probably why they don't get hassled, if indeed they don't.

yes i agree but anybody in the world can have feedback of over 10000000+ but theres the chance that they are guna fob you off, just because they have a certain amount of feedback doesnt mean there are excluded from following the sites rules. 1 feedback or 100+ feedback it doesnt matter, the rule should apply to all.. imo

And STILL LOADS of "interested pending pics" posts - even members who have been here for ages post that when surely they must know its not allowed. They think cause they posted that then they automatically get first refusal on item

Classic example here - sorry Nat to use you as an example

since the kids clothes/toys explosion on here feedback means very little in a lot of cases

I have 62 feedback and guarantee the value of the items I have sold in 4 years on here is 50x the value of some of the kids clothes sellers who have gained 300+ in a year

Half of these people just basically swap clothes with each other then add feedback points willy nilly

Unless you have a good look at what the person you are about to trade with has feedback for its pointless

Why people still continue to trade without these pictures of proof beats me!

Because it's not a requirement?

I thought it was stated in the rules from Admin

"All photos must be of the actual item for sale (not a stock photo) and include a note containing your member name and dated alongside. It is your responsibility to take a picture of the item you’re selling before listing on Hotukdeals and to add them to your thread as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary bumps"

If it isn't a requirement, which I think it should be, why do mods lock down threads when there is no such proof?

Mod discretion.

I always thought the photo featuring your name & date was for higher priced items, not kiddies clothes that are a couple of quid.

oO its like a "pending pics" chat thread. Apart from that one post asking size of the wellies - the other ten posts are unnecessary bumps and pushed a load of other fs threads down due to the "pending pics - so cause I said that I should be first in line and get first refusal"
