hi

its about newbies selling there should be a rule where mods should ask for the:

landline number( not mobile because someone can just throw the sim away)

address( but with proof of address for example a letter with there name and address on it)

this mite be abit deep but its very helpful and can help stop scammers.

Was it too much effort to reply to my PM or don't you like being proved wrong?:x

how do u class a newbie seller? they could just post loads of crap, so then there not a newbie or ? isnt this why theres a feedback system
#3
We have included this in MOD's FS/FT summary post :-

Do NOT proceed with a deal until you are completely satisfied with all details being correct. It's in your best interest to check out these details yourself.

No harm in asking for more info from any buyer as its your hard earned cash. Also, use the feedback to warn others if you have had any problems :)

You make a comment about my post, when I called a seller a scammer, just before it got pulled. I PM'd you with the prove it was a scam sale and you never replied or acknowledged it.

oh ok yh sorry about that

Hustler, it's up to you to do the legwork, not the mods/admin here. It appears you have been hustled. I wouldn't wish that on anyone but you a)tried to outbid someone who offered asking price and b) obviously didn't do your homework!

*posted in other thread but feel its relevent here aswell*

Right what we should all agree for this site to do, which i think everyone will be with me on this one:

We should have a minimum of 50 or so posts before were allowed to sell an item on here....or maybe have at least 3 or so green blocks.

Or there should be a £50 max selling limit until your more recognised on here and have some feedback.

or money should be sent to the mods which they will send to the buyer when item is recieved

Wouldn't work though as with PAYPAL it would incur fees and with cheques it needs to clear first. Would only work with P/O or Cash (always Risky and you'd have to pay for Special Delivery twice - Once for the mods and once for the buyer.)

Plus i dont think the mods will be too chuffed when there having to do more work than normal than being on here

Sorry Lee, but I have no comment on Google Checkout. It's a 'banned' payment method on ebay so I've no use for it. I have not even signed up for it and I prefer the 'cover' I get from my Credit Card Provider, I don't see the point of involving a 'third party' in my online off ebay transactions.

As for the FS/FT/Wanted Forum, it is down to the Buyer to check out the Seller. You cannot ask the Mods to mediate a transaction. You have the 'tools' to check out who you buy from, do it FIRST, BEFORE you part with any of your hard earned dosh.

ebay banned it coz they dont wana loose out lol

Sort of, but it's not the only 'banned' payment method on ebay.
